Trump has urged violence from the beginning of his political career. He does it so much, that his escalations are not even noticed anymore. Trump tries to appeal to the worst of us and he has succeeded.
Why do you think that well was there to be tapped? It goes the same way with the BLM movement; there has to be a problem among "We, the People" for this to arise. Politicians may, and often do, exploit it, but it has to be there. Trump didn't make this well, he is just drinking from it.
...
People are unhappy and it's not because of COVID. COVID only made a bad situation worse. In fact, without COVID, Trump most likely would have won reelection.
...and 28 years as a pilot...and military? Impressive...very impressiveIt was my job for about 45 years. Any teacher worth a shit knows life isn't fair. A Special Ed teacher would certainly know it.
Sure I do. Everybody does. This isn't kindergarten, love. It's Real Life IRL
Trump is above the law. You like that.

The fact he even made it through the Republican gauntlet to win the nomination says Americans are unhappy with the status quo. The "direction of the country" poll for the past ten years indicates a solid majority of Americans do not agree with our nation's direction, about 60% on average just eyeballing it. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/direction_of_country-902.html
This report indicates 84% are dissatisfied and 72% "wrong track". https://www.pollingreport.com/right.htm

"Federal employees are forbidden to run for office in a partisan election, to solicit or receive political contributions, and to engage in political activities while on duty or on federal property."
Hatch Act
Lock him up!

It is said that people get the government they deserve. As for the Toadstool:

It is not so much the legality of things as it is the ethics violations running out of control.
Intentionally peeing on another man's shoes at the stall in an airport bathroom is probably not against the law- BUT EVERYONE KNOWS IT IS NOT ETHICAL TO DO SUCH A NASTY THING.
Donald Trump is just taking pleasure peeing on the Democrats at every chance he can- BECAUSE HE IS ONE NASTY SON-OF-A-BITCH!
The Hatch Act does not prohibit federal employees from engaging in political activity in off-duty hours. It also does not apply to the president, vice president, Congress, or the judiciary.
"Nonetheless, there are certain exceptions and limitations to the Act’s scope. The President, Vice President, members of the uniformed services, and Government Accountability Office employees are expressly excluded from coverage. Also, because the definition includes only executive branch employees, the Act does not apply to the judicial or legislative branch, unless such employees are expressly included in the competitive service. Employees of all three branches, however, are still subject to various provisions of federal law relating to political corruption or campaign finance."

MORE BULLSHIT.
BIDEN'S KID MAKING MILLIONS TAGGING ALONG ON OFFICIAL US FOREIGN POLICY TRIPS , TO UKRAINE AND CHINA, IS "UNETHICAL"
Hello Dutch Uncle,
The country is sliding toward hatred, division, dysfunction, is not happy with the direction, and then elects a depraved trumpery. It makes no sense. It's not logical if your going a direction you don't like, to essentially just speed up in the same direction.

That well was created by circumstances -- the outsourcing of decent middle class jobs overseas, politicians who use fear and hate rather than hope and pride as their tools, the election of a black president, etc. But it goes back way before Obama. The Right has consistently sold its ideas based on fear, hate, anger long before he came on the scene. Remember Reagan's "welfare queen"?
I've been a pilot since 1976; what I flew and who I flew it for varied over the years. Your faux fawning is appreciated....and 28 years as a pilot...and military? Impressive...very impressive
But, you've not been in schools for a while...it shows. And you know nothing about my career. That is Real Life...and no, not K....![]()
Is the discussion now turning to "Is life fair"?
The Hatch Act covers employees in federal service, not elected officials.

Why do you think that is? If you say "the fucking Republicans" then you are part of the problem.![]()
Both sides are to blame, both sides have to work together to fix it. Both sides need to unify the country and not say things like "We support unity and now <insert want to ban abortion or guns>" or anything else that limits the freedoms of others simply because they can.
I agree with this so hard.
