Ahmaud Arbery shooting

he didn't call 911 to report that two armed men had murdered a jogger.,,,,,,,just saying

Nobody called 911 to report a murder. One of the men called 911 to say they were chasing someone they believed was a suspect, not that they shot him. This is just one of the reasons the whole thing stinks to high heaven and was covered up by the Brunswick cops. Here's one instance of the lies McMichael told to the cops. Check the bolded below. The video does not show the truck pulling up besides Arbery, or Travis exiting with gun in hand. The truck was stopped way ahead of Arbery, and Travis was already out of the vehicle with the gun and waiting for him to approach.

"Travis McMichael drove down Satilla Drive toward the intersection of Buford Road, the report said. They spotted Arbery running down Buford Road. Travis drove down Burford Road and tried unsuccessfully to cut off Arbery’s escape with the truck, the report said.

The Brunswick man then turned and started “running back in the direction from which he came,” the report said. Travis McMichael again tried without success to cut Arbery off with the truck.

Greg McMichael jumped into the truck’s bed at this point and the pursuit resumed. At one point in the pursuit, the two McMichaels hailed, “’Stop, stop, we want to talk to you,’” the report said.

Travis McMichael pulled up beside Arbery and again made it known they wanted to talk, the report said. At this point, Travis McMichael exited the vehicle, shotgun in hand.

“McMichael stated he saw (Arbery) begin to “violently attack Travis and the two men then started fighting over the shotgun, at which point Travis fired a shot and then a second later there was a second shot,” the report stated. “McMichael stated the male fell face down on the pavement with his hand under his body.”

The decedent clearly moved up from the rear of the truck, moved up the passenger side of the truck and then turned left at the front end of the truck, moving right towards the armed individual who was at the left side front of the truck. This isn’t even disputable. Get your eyes checked.

Look at the slow motion version. Travis was standing in the middle of the left lane and then he moved up to the yellow lines to approach Arbery, not the other way around. It's not my eyes that need checked.

“If someone is fighting to take a gun away from a policeman, doesn’t the policeman, or only other policeman, or ANYONE have a right to shoot the guy?”

If some dude is front of your house playing to bugle at 5:00 a.m., you may want to shoot him, but it is against the law.

Is it against the law to try and disarm someone who's yelling at you while pointing a gun? And for no other reason except thinking you might be a burglar?

You left out the part where the police arrived shortly after the shooting having received a report of "shots fired". :D

Black man kills black man. crickets

Black man kills white man. Racist had it coming

White man kills black man. Burn it all down.

Same song, different verse.

All I see is a guy out jogging on an open road in broad daylight with nothing to hide.
I see a white truck with the driver side door open with an armed man standing on that side.
I see a jogger trying to go around the passenger side as if to get away from the armed man.
I see the jogger come out across the front of the truck and try to disarm the armed man. Makes sense to me.
I hear shots. I see the jogger fall and die.

********

From what I've read, Arbery ran almost every day. He stopped to look around at an
open construction site abandoned by the owner. Then he continued with his run.
This makes sense because father/son told a 911 dispatcher that they'd seen him
running around there in the past.

Seems to me that the father/son are guilty as sin...and I have no idea what other evidence could
possibly turn up to have me change my mind...at this point. Guess I'll just have to wait for the trial.

Rest in peace Ahmaud Arbery.

Audio of 1st 911 call @ 1:08pm and audio of 2nd 911 call @1:14pm are in the link below.....

In Georgia one is entitled to make a citizens arrest under certain conditions. One is that the crime is a felony. Another is that the arresting party must be eyewitnesses or have immeadiate knowledge of the crime.

On both parts here they fall short. They were not witnesses nor had immediate knowledge of a felon being committed. In the security video of the intruder at a construction site the only crime they had immediate knowledge of was trespassing. Which is misdemeanor. So they fail to meet the criteria for making a citizens arrest. IMHO

So the question legally is going be did the accused meet the legal criteria for making a citizens arrest. The next legal question is who is attacking who? As the person being attacked has self defense rights.

So I think the case will hinge greatly on these two questions. If it is determined that Bubba and Son did not meet the criteria for making a citizens arrest and it I’s determined the victim acted in self defense then Bubba and Son are in deep shit. If not they will walk.

To me it looks like the deceased was assaulted by two unidentified and armed vigilantes and fought courageously to save his life from being taken by a couple of cowards.
I think...just as with Zimmerman, the jury is going to do what the jury feels like doing.

Then why didn't he make a citizens arrest of the two murderers?

Why did he sit by and watch?
Turns out, he's their neighbor. If not, you would have to be crazy to make a citizen's arrest on someone who just shot someone.
