America at 250 years.

I aint leaving yet, Im sticking around to watch the rebound. From this suffering I believe American will come back better than before.
It is nice to think that, but Trump has undercut and gutted agencies. Any agency that helps the people is being run by Trumpys with a mission to destroy it from the inside. The Dems will follow procedures to fix Trump messes. Trump ignored laws, rules, and regulations. It will take a while to fix Trump's cruelty.

I think it really depends on the mindset of the replacement.

Even Vance and Rubio seem to be more establishment people although their policies will be awful.

You can move.

I wonder if they allow forums to complain about their tax rate now that the Muslims are slowly taking over.
He doesn't want to move, because he knows that they are not better. His life would not be better there, because he is not on welfare.

I always thought I’d love to have been born in Denmark, but my roots in the USA have prevented that. I have spent a lot of time in Denmark, and it’s true what polls say. It is the happiest nation in the world.

If it weren’t for my parents, I’d have left for Denmark with my girlfriend when I was 22. She is still there and loves it.

I know the Nordic countries and Italy allow it, I suspect all of Europe does.
Ya, Try that in the UK. Get back to us. While you are at it, check on the rape statistics. Have any daughters?
If I remember correctly, you were also barking about high gas prices. Ever ordered breakfast at the Admiral Hotel in Copenhagen?
You are an empty suit.

Not sure, I bet they are better, I’ll check. They do have universal healthcare.

No never stayed there.

Denmark has a slightly higher incidence of reported rape, but that number is skewed, their definition of “rape” is more broad than the U. s. And victims are more likely to report it.

Virtually the rest of the world.

Grok: There are not "about 100 countries" where an American could realistically relocate and access meaningfully better welfare and public assistance as a newcomer.

While many countries (especially in Europe) have more generous citizen-focused social safety nets than the US in areas like universal healthcare, unemployment benefits, or family support, accessing them as a non-citizen/immigrant involves major barriers.

  • Spending comparisons: OECD data shows several European countries spend far more of GDP on public social expenditure (e.g., France/Italy ~30%+, Nordic countries 25%+, vs. US public spending lower but with substantial private spending). The US ranks lower in public social spending share but higher when including private benefits.
  • Countries with stronger public systems often include comprehensive healthcare, paid parental leave, housing support, and unemployment aid. The US emphasizes work-based programs (e.g., Social Security, Medicare for elderly/disabled, targeted aid like SNAP/Medicaid) with more private elements.
However, "better for an American moving there" is different from "better for citizens."

Most generous welfare systems are restricted to citizens or long-term residents.

Only a small number of high-income countries have notably more expansive systems and pathways for Americans.

Americans need visas/residency (e.g., work, family, investment, or retirement visas). Many European countries require years of legal residency, contributions via taxes/work, or citizenship before full access. Undocumented or short-term stays offer little/none.

Generous benefits often come with high taxes and living costs.

Having said that,
