Kids are now educated at home ..... on line.
Wake up !
Wake up !
To this end, President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris will support new federally-funded K-12 instruction plans in civics, history, and climate literacy.
except in blue cities.....there illiteracy will be encouraged among voters.......Intelligent people know that all children across the United States should have access to high-quality early childhood education programs at no cost to the parent(s).
Each year, the United States spends $23 billion more on schools which favor teacher's unions.
fuck you troll
I would prefer that a great, well educated, and motivated teacher be working in a ramshackle classroom with kids than a mediocre, union protected, teacher with a Master's degree that can't tell you anything about basic chemistry or do more than GED level math in a classroom with every technological benefit there is be teaching our kids.
We'll get better results with smart, motivated teachers who know their subject matter every time than with teachers that have an outstanding resume and lots of pieces of paper hanging on the wall but couldn't think their way out of a wet paper sack.
The key to good education will always be GOOD TEACHERS!
Each year, the United States spends $23 billion more on schools in predominantly white districts than in non-white districts.
Using property taxes to fund public K-12 schools results in inequitable treatment for minority students in low-income school districts, compared to those in wealthier areas.
The Biden-Harris Administration will be committed to closing the school funding gap by tripling Title I funding, which benefits schools that serve low-income students, and requiring states to adopt progressive funding formulas that direct resources to the schools that need it most
As our next president, Joe Biden will also ensure sustainable, reliable funding for rural schools, schools in impoverished urban areas impacted by gentrification, and Bureau of Indian Education schools.
I was very lucky to have had Dr. Lopez for my High School History teacher. He acquired his Doctor's degree the year I was in his class.
Every day we had a lecture, and a pop quiz at the end. ABSOLUTELY NO HOMEWORK. His class was everybody's favorite class, and he was by far everyone's favorite teacher.
But, he made those lectures so great by using some light humor and really making the lecture so interesting even the retards stayed awake and made straight A's in his class. Dr. Lomas went on to become a professor at SMU in their history department the year after I graduated High School.
The key to good education will always be GOOD TEACHERS!
It is comforting to no longer be governed by an orange alpha oaf and his philistine spawn, one who appreciates the complexity
of the natural world, the fine arts and civic responsibility. One who won't employ his demon seed to the highest positions of power.
One who won't use every conversation with a foreign dignitary as an opportunity to massage his ego and extort a personal favor.
Open the windows of the White house and air out the stench of corruption.
Unfortunately, most teachers aren't all that good. Most are rather mediocre. Have you looked through any K-12 textbooks (I use the term loosely) recently? They are utter crap. They're millimeters deep on most subjects. Often just a paragraph or two. There are lots of pictures and they are very colorful. They remind me of high quality comic books combined with what I call "coffee table" books. You know the kind. You have this large book full of pictures of art or nature or something and put it on your coffee table to impress your friends that you take an interest in such things...
Worse, they often have wrong information in them. I'm not talking questionable, but demonstrably wrong information in them. In one of the ones the grandkids got for "science" written by 2 PhD women with education degrees, (I looked) they stated that a "generator" (for electricity) was "two magnets connected by a length of wire." That is utter crap and totally wrong. It doesn't describe a generator at all.
A quick description would be A series of coils of wire arranged around a rotating magnetic field such that the magnetic field interacts with the coils and produces electricity. That would be reasonable one sentence, quick description of a generator. These PhD's were so messed up on science it wasn't funny.
the key to good education lies at home - the parents have the most to do with it.
I won't disagree with any of that.
But when you have good parents that raise their children right, and participate in their education, and also have good teachers teaching their children at school- YOU GOT IT ALL!
Schools have not been interested in education for a good while, they do Woke Indoctrination now.
How did your children and grandchildren turn out?
Mine turned out great!
Go take a look at how little graduates know generally.
