You're kidding, right? Because only a complete idiot would seriously need to have it explained to them, that he damaged US national security for his own egotistical purposes.
According to national security experts, Assange's leaks were devastating to a lot of people, mostly civilians in Afghanistan and Iraq who were helping us by secretly passing information to the U.S. military.
Many of these people had to go into hiding or flee, particularly those civilians in war zones who had told U.S. soldiers about movements of the Taliban and al-Qaida. No doubt some of those people were harmed or killed because of Assange.
Through WikiLeaks, Assange released CIA technical documents on a range of spying techniques, one of which revealed ways that a state-of-the art television could serve as a listening device even when it was turned off, a security breach that imposed long-term costs, that are difficult to quantify.
Because Assange's leaks informed potential enemies of techniques we use, they can now develop countermeasures against it, forcing the agency to go back to the drawing board at great cost to the American taxpayer.
Once a technique is invalidated, it creates a situation where the intelligence community has to expend resources of both dollars and people to develop new methods.
The damage he caused to America is incalculable.
It's truly unbelievable that people on the right who try to pass themselves off as patriotic Americans shrug all of that off for purely political reasons, simply because some of what Assange leaked was damaging to the opposing candidate's campaign.
The far right is low-life trash that just plain sucks.

That's the party line - but Moreno's word is not trustworthy.
seems to me 9 years of contact but no one else by Assange except in the embassy would gin up a few conflicts that can be hyped to a pretext of removal of Assange. Moreno has no use for him - allow the Brits in
Trump has no use for him -only WIKI for the elections.Lots of politicians aint trustworthy, kinda goes w/out sayin.........
trump likes him, maybe he can come to the white house.??
