First of all, exempt employees have to meet certain criteria. Your average Walmart or other retail position won’t. So, your salary hypothetical fails. Babble.

You misconstrue my argument. The OP is trying to make the false claim that he is cutting hours to pay less to his employees. He is PAYING THE SAME.

“The average for a full time hourly worker is $14.26 an hour.” Still not that $15, is it? Know how many are NOT full time at Walmart? HALF. That means they receive less pay and benefits. So much for that $15/hr average, huh?

Ok, let's use Target or McDonald's. It doesn't matter whether somebody is actually working 60 hours. The point was that somebody making less than $15 an hour was making more than Sander's staff if they worked as many hours as his staff did.

Note the key word - ELIGIBLE ASSOCIATES. Better clear that up before you make any insinuation that all employees get those benefits. Because they don’t.

The main Walmart site said nothing about that. One has to read the benefits manual. What it also doesn’t tell you is the ACTUAL practice.

But, Walmart is a diversion. Their lousy personnel practices are legendary.
