I actually feel like I dodged a bullet. I have a lot of sins to atone for (I might be on the Highway to Hell), and I hope I get a shitload of heads up before the next rapture event.
That's the good news. You can't atone for your own sins. The pressure is off. Christ atoned FOR you. Nothing you or I do in our sinful flesh can atone for our sins. It took the sacrifice of the sinless Lamb of God to get the job done. Repent, believe and confess Jesus Christ as your Savior and you will be saved.

Even Jesus said no one knows but the Father yet you're trying to put a time on it. In the same passage in Matthew 24 where Jesus said that, he also warned of people like you that would try to deceive.
As for the OP, Biblical prophecy doesn't say the rapture would take place on 4/23. That prediction is just another by someone that doesn't understand he isn't the one that makes the determination.
Jesus said it would come to pass a generation after the crucifixion .. 40 years. Jerusalem and the Temple were destroyed. Blood sacrifice was over and the people fled to the mountains. Do you think Jesus would have ignored the people of the first century who would living thru violence, famine and deprivation to address you 2000 years later on another continent?
When you understand the events of the first century and the commonly understood symbolism of apocalyptic writings you won't buy into Hal Lindsey and Tim Layhay.
