Biden's Afghan withdrawal is brilliant

Haw, haw...........................haw.

It takes balls to end a war and Biden's got a pair. I mean it's about time someone ended America's longest war.
20 years? We've spent trillions on the two Mideast wars as well as many American lives.

God bless President Biden for ending America's longest, most expensive wars.

In reality our leaving was more of a rout (running away with our tail tucked between our legs) than an organized withdrawal. We left in the dead of night abandoning billions of dollars in equipment and weapons. This reminds me of our Vietnam pullout.

Yes- but there are still a thousand overseas bases interfering in the development of other cultures. Dramatic reductions would help American prosperity, social and financial.

I save with that. We have too big of a military footprint around the world. Too expensive and unnecessary.

Where did you read that? NewsMax or OAN?

U.S. Pulls Out of Afghanistan's Bagram Airfield in the Middle of the Night—Without Telling the New Commander

Afghan military: US left Bagram Airfield at night, didn't tell new commander
https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...hout-warning-afghan-military-says/7871154002/

Five days after the final U.S. troops left Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan, the Pentagon is defending itself from criticism by Afghan military officials who have accused the U.S. of secretly slipping out overnight, shutting off the electricity and prompting a security lapse that allowed looters to scavenge the facilities before Afghan troops were able to retake control.

Speaking at a press conference Tuesday, Pentagon spokesperson John Kirby declined to dispute the Afghan commander's statement that he had not been briefed on the departure.

That's why we're leaving, moron. You'd rather we stay there and have more brave young Americans die?
Are you also concerned about the +600,000 Americans who have died from COVID because of Trump's incompetence?

First off sport Trumps handling of covid is a strawman argument and has nothing to do with Afghanistan. As to our combat deaths we had an agreement with the Taliban which they ignored. We could have ended combat operations and pulled every Afghani and their families that worked for and with us out, prior to our departure. Instead they are being thrown to the wolves. Yea Mr. armchair general that will come back to haunt us during the next war.

If you were a realist and not wearing rose colored glasses you would realize that war is inevitable. In the last 100 years we have fought at least 7 major wars and a few minor ones it is a dangerous world and with global commerce it is even more likely. Putz!

There is no way to leave a war neatly. It is always a mess. I guess that means once you start, you can never leave.
Over 2 trillion spent, 2500 Americans killed, UN troops killed too. Many thousands of Afghani civilians were killed and wounded with little hospitalization available. How many more enemies did we create? The country's infrastructure has been blown up.
Now they will face what we left behind. They will never forgive us.

Past Performance is Not Indicative of Future Results.

War is inevitable? Once again, Spoken like a true radical far right wing warmonger. Thanks for confirming.
Maybe you'd like to send your children or grandchildren to our next war. Putz!

Go down to Haight-Ashbury with all the other peace no matter what bozos join hands sing Kumbaya, and see how that works. Perhaps you can go to the West Bank hug the Palestinians, when they see your love I'm sure the Arab world will stop all the killing.

You remind me of the pussies in the 50s who preached "Better Red than Dead".
