Bill Maher - "fully vaccinated"- tests positive for coronavirus

Then if you're vaccinated why do you care if I am or not?

For herd immunity, and to try to abolish the disease. The vaccine is not 100% perfect, so I would rather not get the disease from you. And you having the disease means that it will be mutating, and could get around the vaccine entirely.

So these people who are vaccinated and get covid can infect others can't they?

Yes, COULD being the operative word right there. No one knows how likely it is. Dukkha is just making up shit when he says it is not possible.

they cannot infect after vaxxed. any COVID rhinoviral count is simply too low to infect after a vaccine

Covid-19 is not a Rhinovirus, so the the count of "Covid-19 Rhinoviruses" will always be zero. There is near certain cases of transmission after vaccination, so that means it can happen. The question is how often does it happen. If it happens 10% of R0, then we are fine. If it happens 90% of R0, then we are in real trouble.

Over the next couple of years, we will get a reliable percent, and be able to estimate how many more. This could have all been done had trump kept his promise, and delivered the tests. he set himself one job, and then failed at it completely.

^ Weird false comment for an alt righter to make...

If I get the small pox vaccine it's doesn't matter whether you do or not.

I was one of the first people in America not to need a Smallpox vaccine, because it has been wiped out. It was wiped out by vaccinating around all cases of it. So now it does not matter if you have a vaccine or not, because it does not exist (outside of a few labs).

But if it did exist, the vaccine was only partly effective. So if I was vaccinated, and you had the disease, there was a real chance I could get the disease.

For the sake of argument, lets say the vaccine is 90% effective. If you are vaccinated, the chances of you getting it are reduced by 90%. If I am vaccinated, the chances of you getting it and transmitting it to me are reduced by 99%. If my wife is vaccinated, the chances of you getting it, transmitting it to me, and me transmitting it to my wife are reduced by 99.9%.

In theory, this would lead to the virus having no one else to infect, and dying out. That might not happen this time, because Covid-19 has some odd traits that might get around that.

There is also the problem of mutation. If you have the virus, then it is mutating in your body. Those mutations might get around the vaccine, which could be a problem for me.

Like the flu, it's here to stay.

Deal.

You might be right, but for a different reason. Influenza mutates around vaccines. Covid-19 has a very short immunity period.

This could all mean that we lose a decade of life expectancy, which is a very large amount of deaths to deal with. This is why we should not just accept that we have lost. We should fight this disease.

The disease that's most dangerous now is the insane/hysterical derangement of DemoKKKrat psychopaths.

I'm happy to join you in fighting that disease even though you're an alt righter & we have very little in common.

are you trying to argue transmisson by some one already vaccinated??? no,,,take of the fucking mask if vaccinated

It is definitely possible to transmit the disease if vaccinated, and it is possible to transmit the disease through a mask. The question is how possible it is.

Your claims it is not possible is just nonsense.
