That's why some schools have metal detectors.
Gun free zones don't work.
That's why some schools have metal detectors.
Coincidentally, there has also been a high school shooting @ Arlington, Washington. Three people shot, but no word on their conditions.
Are you not following your own discussion?
I might word the question in a different way. Maybe like this: Makes you wonder about why he decided to use a gun in the first place.
But that's just me.
You're right, vols. Black teens from Chicago rarely have the opportunity to shoot kids in Arlington, Texas.
The elevated rapid transit doesn't reach out quite that far.
I've always advocated for high speed rail, but it's just not happening to this point.
You can't use Wikipedia as a reference with me. Their articles are too often incomplete, biased, or just plain wrong.School shootings, yes, the frequency of school shootings no, those numbers have escalated considerably even since the beginning of the 21st Century (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_school_shootings_in_the_United_States). What used to occur every other month now occurs numerous times in one month.
You don't get to speak for everyone. You only get to speak for you. Omniscience fallacy.Americans are becoming desensitized,
Depends on the school. Did you know that schools used to have gun clubs? You brought your gun to school for gun club.at one time just a gun found in a school would draw attention,
That's the Fake News for you. If it bleeds, it leads. If it bleeds a lot it becomes the weekly topic to harp on. Call them cold and unpassionate and you wouldn't be far off.now, unless it is gruesome and the numbers high, most incidents are barely noticed.
I really don't care. I already know that shootings occur from time to time in schools. 'Gun free zones' don't work.Need proof, there were two last week and guarantee without googling it you couldn't even tell us where they occurred
Agreed. Using them this way is sick. This is exactly how the press and the gun control idiots do, though. And dead kids in a school doesn't have to be used by anyone as a pawn for anything,
Agree. Any murder is horrific on its own. I include the murders in Chicago in that.it is horrific on its own,
The cause is not guns. Guns don't kill people by themselves. Someone has to pull the trigger. Murder is what is happening here, not guns killing anyone.and when the cause is guns,
Agreed. Murderers should be prosecuted. Unfortunately, Democrats do little about them and often just let murderers walk free. BLM's goal is to defund and dismantle police. What do you think is going to happen? Yup. Murder once again. Another tragedy for someone.it is even more of a tragedy considering little is being done to prevent it,
Sandy Hook does NOT prove your argument. It only shows you are hoplophobic.Sandy Hook proves that,
Semi-automatic weapons are perfectly legal and practical as a weapon. YOU don't get to dictate what weapon someone is allowed to own or use.four and five year old's mascaraed by semi automatic weapons and to date,
Insulting people isn't helping you. You don't know the reason someone chooses a particular weapon to carry or defend themselves with. Bigotry. Hoplophobia.thanks largely to gun huggers with selfish motives,
Go blame Democrats for that! They are the biggest obstacle in the way of it. They support psychoquacks that prescribe mind altering drugs that cause suicidal and homicidal tendencies on withdrawal from them. They support 'gun free zones' that do not work. They do everything they can to prevent law abiding citizens from being able to shoot back at these fucks when they start shooting.little has been done to prevent the next tragedy
Black teens are shooting more black teens in Chicago
Than the black teens in Arlington Texas are shooting each other
So I guess they are instructed a hell of a lot more in Chicago to shoot each other than they are an Arlington Texas
I stated a Texas law
That was a fact
Why are you so hostile to facts
I realize you don't understand English, but try. volsrock wrote his statement in English.
I’m sure we will. We had an issue this afternoon at school today. Girl blew up on classmates. Claims she was bullied. Not true. I’m sorry, if they want to see bullying they need to travel back in time and visit Lewis and Gilbert. I see a lot of stuff called bullying these days (like today) that isn’t. I’m not saying that’s the case with what happened in TX today. The kid may have really been being bullied, idk.
I do know that when a kid acts out and another kid (or kids) tells him/her to “grow up” … that’s not bullying. (Our case today)
When a kid can’t be best friends with the kid he/she wants to be … those kids aren’t necessarily being bullies for not wanting to include him/her in their activities.
Lots of things these days are called bullying that just aren’t. And “my child is being bullied” is used an excuse for kids that act out and misbehave, and it is used very often in recent years.
To be clear, I wasn’t justifying the shooters actions based on that claim (or saying that she’s telling the truth - obviously I have no way to know one way or the other).
But getting in a fight isn’t justification for coming out shooting
Please excuse my ignorance here as I'm not a gun guy. Archives argued it's access to guns that caused this. How easy was it to gain access to a gun when you were younger? Obviously the internet wasn't around to facilitate transactions like you can today. And I'm not asking this as a leading question trying to make a political point. I'm asking honestly as I don't know. Was it harder to get access to a gun back in the day?

Second amendment rights had nothing to do with this.
Black kid shoots white kids. Leftie media will drop this story like Bill Clinton's pants with an intern in the room.
Yeah. You are correct. Why do police stations and courthouses even have metal detectors?
Because they can, and they live under the false sense of security they provide.
It was much easier to get a gun back then. No background checks. You could mail order a rifle from Sears. You could buy a surplus M1 Garand (military issue semi-auto 30.06) from the local hardware store. There's no record of the purchase of my (very accurate) Remmington BDL 30-06 I bought when I was 18. I could walk through town with a .38 strapped on my side when I was 16, and wave to the cops when they drove by. We just never thought of shooting other kids, we settled things in the back alley with our fists.
We never thought of shooting our fellow classmates when we brought our hunting guns and left them in our cars (often unlocked) to go hunting after school.
