Hooters lost a lawsuit because only women were hired to be "Hooter's Girls." They had to hire males to be "Hooter's Persons" who could bus the tables, etc.

Businesses can hire only one sex if it is a bona fide occupational qualification like being a stripper in a sexually oriented business. But Hooter's claimed it was a family business (Hooters refer to owls) and did not qualify.
