My answer was "Ask freedumb, it's his hypothetical. I say they are both responsible, 50-50. If neither wants a baby it's the only way that makes sense outside of abstinence."

What you haven't addressed is why those that aren't part of the 50-50 regularly get the bill when either 50 won't do for their own.
If it's rape, that's a criminal act and another issue. Outside of that, if the man gets it from her, it has to be because she was willing to give it up.
Christie is known for saying that it's a 50-50 responsibility by both parties involved. What she ignores is that when either 50 doesn't do his/her part, those of us that aren't either 50 tend to get the bill.
What's your point? We're talking about birth control, not having sex. If a man doesn't want to be a father he should take care of himself and not rely on whether the woman uses BC or not.

My first comment was in response to freedumb's comment: "But then, if she doesn't want to; why should the father be expected to support and pay for her decision??"
He seems to be saying that if a woman didn't take precautions and a baby results, it's all the woman's fault and the man shouldn't be expected to support it. My response was that if a man or woman does not want to have a baby they should both take precautions to make sure it doesn't happen.
