Do the humanities need a rebrand?

Because he is a right winger, like you.
Because it is the truth.....as Paglia and Peterson have talked about extensively academia breds sheep....who have consistently failed to stand up for truth or Western Culture.

This first became obvious in the capitulations of the late 60's.

How can there be German history without a Germany?

Impossible to have German history without a Germany!
Does an American history class only start on July 4, 1776?
Or do we take it back before then - back to the Boston Tea Party, the French and Indian War, the colonial era, even the pilgrims and Jamestown?

I have studied them. Peterson is a right winger.

It's remarkable this guy thought that because he knows some conversational German, that he has basically the equivalent of a German bachelor's degree. He clearly doesn't know German history, German literature, German philosophy.

"You dont think DEI is coming for STEM as well?......you have another thing coming buddy"
Jordan Peterson as long as 8 years ago.

He is a goofball. No integrity.

LLM's have proven that studying language is very important. History is always important to understanding the future. Art is one of our major exports. Understanding foreign cultures helps us understand the world.
Art is just 2nd hand views of the world, made 3rd hand by your own interpretation. It is not history.
Very few humanities students study Greek anymore.
And your illiteracy shows it.
Let's talk about studying another foreign language, say Pashto. It is a major language of Afghanistan. Understanding it would be important to understanding the sources of terrorism. You do realize that terrorists rarely translate their plans into English to help us understand them?

Or just understanding Chinese culture to help us export consumer goods to them.
And you know neither.
The teaching students less theory of education falls apart because we do not know what will earn well in the future for every individual. We teach students a large number of things, and if they are not useful, we have at least taught the students how to learn.
Feeling schizophrenic again, Wally? There is only one of you.
Illiteracy: plural used for singular.

You don't know how to learn, Wally.
Apple has made a huge amount of money off Jobs having studied fonts in college.
Apple never went to college. It doesn't have a job.
None of us saw the importance in that, but it turned out to be important.
Illiteracy: plural used as singular.
Are you having a stroke?
Random phrase ignored.
Ballmer graduated from Harvard.
Never did.
Jobs attended Harvard and credits there education for a lot...
He never graduated either.
INCLUDING MEETING BALLMER WHO GRADUATED FROM HARVARD!!!
He didn't.
Faraday and Edison lived in the 1800's.
Edison lived to 1931.

Are you trying to make a point?

 Anytime someone composes a long-winded verbose diatribe, they are massively triggered, lol

You stated a class on German history wouldn't start until 1871 and therefore there is "not much history there "

^^ Hilarious. You just skipped over almost a thousand years of German history during the Holy Roman Empire, the 30 Years War, the Protestant Reformation, the rise of the Prussian state, the Napoleonic wars
Before 1871 there wasn't a "Germany." There were Germanic peoples and they lived in countries other than Germany and thought of themselves as part of whatever country they lived in. So, Prussians were Germanic, but not German. Barvarians were Germanic, but not German.

Apples to oranges.
Well why don't you go back to when the first asians that crossed the Bering land bridge ? :palm:

Thank God for the Humanities. What do you think your English teachers studied?!

(Oh, I forgot. You don't need college to talk English!)

It's remarkable this guy thought that because he knows some conversational German, that he has basically the equivalent of a German bachelor's degree.
Now where did I say that? I didn't. As always you have to lie to make a "point".
He clearly doesn't know German history, German literature, German philosophy.
I know what I read in the book image I posted. I know more about German politics and culture than you can't get without living there.
I've gone to symphonies at the Leipzig Gewandhaus and in Würzburg.
And WTF do you know other than what you get from wikipedia, google, google maps or AI?
Because it's obvious that's all you got.
Now you can tell me allll about your wonderful experiences in Houston, Midland or Orlando. You won't see me telling you about those places using google. I don't to that nonsense.
I don't have the inferiority complex you do.
