Historically, neocons absolutely did draw from the left/liberal world, but in a different way. Neoconservatism came out of intellectual, anti-communist, ex-liberal circles.

I believe Liz Cheney’s politics had very little to do with her ouster. It’s is the same story over and over again, cross the Sleepy PP and get shunned.

Lots of people were rejected, non-neocons, just like Cheney was. It’s not about ideology.
