That dynamic is missing in the Republican Party. The Never Trumps are pretty much kicked to the curb. Besides, their beef with Trump and Trump supporters isn’t really ideological: they just don’t like Trump’s style, he’s a bad old meanie on Twitter, Trump supporters are rubes, blah-blah-blah.
Rather, Trump has *delivered* on many of the Never Trumps empty promises. It’s no mystery why Trump’s popularity with Republicans stays around 90%.
