If the South had petitioned Congress first,and had not just took part in a national election,and attempted to quit,because they didn't like the out come,you would have a point.

They never seceded, they lost their war effort and remained part of the US.
A few cried over losing the war, but not nearly as many as the left is crying today about losing an election.

That's because the civil war is long over and we are one country. Why should we hate the South, or the South hate (the North) us?
