Finally some judicial sanity on Civil War memorials.

The only reason Conservatives defend Confederate Memorials is because they need to glorify and sanitize those losers, traitors, and racists with whom they share all the same values.

Do only statues represent what happened in the past? Taking down statues isn't erasing the past at all. They should be protected in a museum.

How about instead of putting them in a museum, we demolish the monuments, dig up their graves, and toss whatever remains into the ocean?

Why should traitors get to rest in peace? Why should they get to have their legacy protected?

I was just trying to be nice and come up with a compromise. I do agree, though. I don't believe that there were any monuments erected for the Nazis when WWII ended.

I'm fine with a museum personally. But destroying statues is erasing the past and tradition. It's what ISIS does. It's superstitious. It's based on presentism, a false conception of history.

Not for the Nazi's, that is correct. However there are plenty of memorials, highways, etc named for after military personnel in WWII. This country cannot seem to make that distinction.

So, you won't support a statue of Crooked Hillary, but you do support statues celebrating the exploits of Jefferson Davis and Robert E. Lee?

I suspect liberals would support honoring the Hildebeast in all sorts of tax-payer-funded ways, like they did Robert Byrd, her pal.

Nonsense. Nothing is being 'erased', as you're still free to do what you're clearly terrified of: go read a book.

A treason shouldn't be honored as a 'tradition'.

your drunken stupor is making you delusional

Clearly you are too stupid to understand that a war memorial pays homage to those that died fighting that war. It does not pay homage to (In this case the CSA) either side.

"war memorial
noun [ C ] uk /ˈwɔː məˌmɔː.ri.əl/ us /ˈwɔːr məˌmɔːr.i.əl/
i

A large structure, usually made of stone, that is built in honor of those people who died in a particular war"
https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/english/war-memorial

The Vietnam war was a huge divisive war that had the country split. But we have a memorial to those who died in that war I guess by your asinine standards it should be destroyed also. What a stupid asshole you are.
You, apparently deliberately fail to distinguish between treason and patriotism, typical for a Trumpanzee.
