I once prosecuted a man who was protesting with a sign blocking the entrance to the Courthouse.

Once I determined he was bat shit crazy I dropped the charges in exchange with a promise not to block the entrance again, when I walked out of the Courthouse there he was blocking the entrance with his sign. I had him arrested and then sent to a mental facility.

You read that where? I read the comments from the judge who said the reason he let him off with a light sentence was because he plead guilty very early on and showed great regret for his actions.

Bullshit. Those that plead not guilty and fight it in court will get harsher sentences. Virtually all of the charged are on tape or in pictures inside the capitol.

It's wonderfully amusing that PMP claims to be a lawyer. If that someone who invites you in doesn't have the authority or is your partner in crime, yes, you can be charged with breaking and entering. Apparently the 'lawyer' thinks only the person that broke the window is guilty, the rest are invited guests. PMP is a moron.

Most of them can’t or don’t bother to read. The MSP reported in detail the guy was not known to have engaged in violence, physical threats or destruction of property.

Yep. he was not among the worst of them. The fact that he got 8 months will send a message to those who did the damage and attacked the police. They also know who was involved in the planning. There will be some long terms for the insurrectionists.

and is it your opinion everyone inside the capital should be sentenced to 18 months?.......because there was one last week who got a fine......
