Get your checkbooks open, Big Oil, we are coming after YOU!

Actions speak louder than words. Expressing what you might do and not doing it is as useless as tits on a nun. Used for nothing. I do not post here to be respected by anyone Micawber. And, as this is almost a civil discussion, I will ignore your second to last sentence.

You are an idealist. Unfortunately talk is both cheap and effective. Just look at the leader of the free world. He bullshitted his way to the very top. Think that fuck did an honest days work in his entire life?
If word were meaningless then madison avenue is wasting billions every year advertizing. I am sad to report they are some of the smartest people on the planet, generating from whole cloth
the attitudes, beliefs, desires and actions of everyone.

You can't even bring yourself to support consensus climate science that the planet is being ruined? You are contra on that?

His accusation of illiteracy is gravely misplaced. 'Drive' a boat???
Bet he thinks the guy in the cockpit of a plane 'drives' a plane, too.

I tell you Stretch, landlubbers can be a constant source of amusement to those of us that know!

"The Imperial Beach lawsuit sweeps up 37 companies, including ExxonMobil, Chevron, BP, Royal Dutch Shell, ConocoPhillips and Peabody Energy. Since Imperial Beach and the counties of Marin and San Mateo chose a courtroom showdown, five other cities and counties in California have also sued. Around the country, others have done the same, including New York City and municipalities in Colorado and Washington State.

Don't plaintiffs have to win or negotiate a pre-trial settlement to get paid, Mcslobber?

Either way, you think oil company investors will absorb any losses?

:dunno:

The former community organizer with no work experience or achievements on his resume left office on January 20th, 2017, Mcslobber.

I suppose you can call me captain too, cuz I drive stretch to distraction. He proved my point, I assume you realize.
You got it, he didn't. Nice of you to cover for him. Stretch, my usage was a light insult. He understood that. I was likening his
profession to a water taxi on Isla Mujeres or something.

I am a realist. I live it. Writing or talking about a starving kid next to you and not giving him any food is, well, useless as tits on nun. Every leader of the free world has bullshitted their way to the top. And honest days work? Yes. I think the man has done many. You may not agree with it however you cannot argue with the reality of it. It fairly apparent that you have never read my posts nor thoughts of climate change. I know it is real. Once again, I live it. I probably have seen the effects more than anyone on this board posting about it. I also know the reality of it. It is no where near as dramatic as people are trying to make it out. No one really reads any of the climate scientist things they post on this board. They all say basically what I just said. Read them. Learn what all those measurements mean. It is no where near Armageddon. Al Gore ( one of those who bullshitted his way to a top) is full of hype and bullshit. He did it for nothing other than money. He does not do a damn thing to stop what he says is occurring. Nothing.

You are not even pimple on a Captain's ass. Just setting things straight.

Hello aloysious,

Good. I hope they get a gazillion dollar judgement and ban all forms of petrol sale and use in that town before it goes to the S.C. and gets reversed.

It would be good if they were ordered to pay for the construction of renewable energy sources and Traveling Wave Reactors all across the nation, taper way down on extracting, and pay damages to the plaintiffs for sea level rise and the other costs incurred from climate change. But they probably don't have the money for all that.

Some of the suits expand the harms of climate change beyond sea level rise to include wildfires, drought and pestilence."

I will leave it to the courts to decide if some of the Oil companies knew from their own scientists that GHGs were changing the climate, but deceived the pubic about it.

One of the interesting things to me is that - on paper at least - most of the major oil companies recognize that human emissions are putting the planet and it's climate at risk.

The weird thing is that makes these uninspired and stodgy Oil Barons more progressive and more scientifically literate than most right wing posters, and the POTUS, who continue to deny, delay, and downplay, and are on pubic record either denying global warming, or calling it a hoax perpetrated by lying scientists.

CEOs of 10 Largest Oil Companies Issue Joint Statement Recognizing Greenhous Emissions Are a Risk to the Planet's Climate

Paris, France; October 16, 2015 – The chief executive officers of 10 of the world’s largest oil and gas companies - which together provide almost a fifth of all oil and gas production and supply nearly 10% of the world’s energy - today declared their collective support for an effective climate change agreement to be reached at next month’s 21st session of the United Nations (UN) Conference of Parties to the UN Framework on Climate Change (COP21).

In their declaration the 10 CEOs said:

“Our shared ambition is for a 2°C future. It is a challenge for the whole of society. We are committed to playing our part. Over the coming years we will collectively strengthen our actions and investments to contribute to reducing the GHG intensity of the global energy mix. Our companies will collaborate in a number of areas, with the aim of going beyond the sum of our individual efforts.”

LOL

This will get tossed as quick as the last one. The government regulated the product, and as such, the courts will never allow the liability that would follow if they found any merit to the claim. Stupid liberals are desperate and foolish

You want proof that it's a scam? Why haven't these states banned the use of the dangerous product? Answer that question and you have the proof. It's all about money. Stupid liberals are so easy to fool. Just tug on their heart strings. Think of the children!

Aye, Cap'n.
