Ghomert recovers: credits HCQ

was speaking with a woman last night at supper.....her nephew (autistic, 22 years old) was hospitalized with covid......IC, respirator.....was put on HCQ.....went home two days later........mom says it saved his life......

I wonder when he took the HCQ/zince/D3 cocktail? It looks like he got it early enough to reduce the viral loading

Those of us who haven’t already decided it doesn’t work, know that you take the cocktail early.

I suspect Ghomert is in that category.

A President has to lead. We've seen the effectiveness in other countries when there is real leadership.

He should be out there every day wearing a mask & distancing - not creating debates about both.

He should be advocating what works: washing hands, distancing, wearing a mask, testing & tracing.

And we should have a moon shot effort on testing. Trump thinks it's bad because it shows more cases. Our level of testing is woeful considering out population. We could have limited the impact on the economy greatly with leadership there.

Trump tried to ignore the problem & just hope it would go away. He has also done nothing but spread misinformation about it. He's been a horrible leader during a crisis.

IOW, you don’t know of anything another president would have done that would have changed anything lol. Once the virus became prevalent in our population we were basically screwed.

Thank you, China.

Btw, the reason our numbers don’t look better with respect to other countries has less to do with Trump and more to do with what happened in Blue states back in March/April early May.

But everything ‘is Trump’s fault’.

Just make up anything you want.

The post above is complete denial. "Nothing we would have done would have mattered anyway." One of the lamest excuses for a complete lack of leadership that I've ever seen.

I had a couple of bad days, but I started taking hydroxychloroquine, [Zithromax], and zinc, along with vitamins D3 and C," he said. "And I took a steroid nebulizer for a few days to help coat the alveoli in the lungs and protect them somewhat from the COVID virus attack.”

He added, “I feel sorry for patients whose doctors are not even allowed to consider the hydroxychloroquine regimen.

That’s a real shame.”

In related news, Bill Gates opines [what does he know about it?] that HCQ “has severe side effects” and recommends novel drug therapies that involve recouping R&D money and enriching stockholders—be used in treating COVID patients.

Oddly, many people who advocate against HCQ also think our capitalist system is a big problem.

Our moron Gov here in Michigan banned HCQ. Guess she doesn't care about lives.

Who are you to say whether it saved him or not lol?

He would have ingested bleach if Trump had actually suggested it should be done. Gohmert is a sycophant. I don’t believe anything he says, because he lies in service of Trump. Gohmert wasn’t even admitted. I’d be curious as hell how he got Hydroxchloriquine since the FDA no longer approves it, but that’s a discussion for another day.

I would think so too. he said "he had a couple bad days."
To my recollection asymptomatic or early use reduces the viral load -and mitigates the cytokine storm syndrome
So he must just have gotten it before the replication became too much for the cocktail to overcome

Here’s something we could have done starting in late March, when anyone paying attention should have known nursing homes were vulnerable—to put it mildly.

And guess what? It doesn’t involve Trump but state governors. Lock the damn things down. And DO NOT send infected nursing home residents back to the facility. That one simple act—that required no action on Trump’s part—would have saved who knows how many lives.

I don’t know the mechanism but every doctor or study which advocates HCQ stresses early is better.

We're in the middle of a global crisis. This demands Presidential leadership, EVERY DAY.

I could make an argument that Trump's entire COVID leadership is this: denial, and misinformation. And I would win that argument 10 times out of 10.

It embarrasses me as an American that anyone could try to defend & deflect this dereliction of duty, at such a high level. It was the same when conservatives blamed Nagin for Katrina.

This is one of the biggest issues w/ partisanship.

indeed. im just going by what i've gleaned based on interviews

It’s hard not to be incensed by this rank political bullshit over a drug that has yet to be definitively proven ineffective—yet not all doctors are allowed to prescribe it.

The *facts* in my post aren’t ‘partisan’.

Yup. Even liberal yahoo news called her the most incompetent politician in America. Not sure what happened to the recall effort. Think she blocked it somehow.
wow.
there are a lot of Dems who meet that criteria -she wins the prize

more then that.
front line doctors who use it swear by it. WTF does Fauci know? when is the last time he saw a patient?

same with the medical establishment and their bogus studies, who dont account for early prescribing
and comorbidity etc.

Well the science has been evolving on whether the public should wear masks or not. Even Saint Fauci has changed his mind so has Trump. The President does not need to wear a mask in most places because everyone that comes into contact with him is tested and has to be negative before they are allowed in contact with him. When he was in a hospital environment he wore a mask. The president is tested himself regularly and isn't likely to spread the virus to anyone and as we all know mask wearing does not protect the wearer.

The US has preformed MORE THAN DOUBLE the numbers of tets than any other country and more tests that the entire continent of Europe has.

His science team told us to was our hands and he endorsed his team.

The President had contact tracing teams working from the very origins of the pandemic.

You haven't suggested a single thing that hasn't been done. Why don't you make a Martini and STFU.
