I didn't see JPP marxists post about the democrat party autopsy re: Harris' loss to President Trump

It is a very, very, very long read so I doubt that any JPP marxist will read it. They will probably copy and paste it into ChatGPT and tell it to summarize it for them.

What is funny is that the democrat party tried to keep it away from its followers, but CNN got ahold of it and in a random act of journalism threatened to release it.

Now the report definitely has errors in it, doesn't have an executive summary or a conclusion and it is annotated heavily. The DNC does not endorse the product they paid for, but it is worth reviewing anyway.

What is more interesting about the "autopsy" isn't what it put in, but what it left out

1) It blames the inmate transgender ad that Trump ran as a cause for her defeat. While the ad was very effective (Harris outspent Trump), that wasn't the reason
2) It says nothing about the fact that Harris spent the entire campaign ATTACKING Trump and never said what she would do. The few times she did get pressed, she would launch into some word salad that made zero sense to anybody
3) The autopsy says NOTHING about how Harris secured the nomination after Sleepy Joe stepped down. The party that has been chirping about protecting democracy foisted their Presidential candidate on the party in the most undemocratic way possible. Not a good look for a party protecting democracy from autocratic rule and backroom deals. Spare me "the party can do what it wants". Optics are optics.
4) It makes no mention of Israel/Gaza conflict and its impact on the outcome when we clearly know it did
5) It makes no mention of Sleepy Joe's decision to even run again when everyone with a brain knew he wasn't up to the task. A fact only exacerbated by his failed debate performance where his own wife says she though he had a stroke.

As usual, the democrat party doesn't take responsibility for why it lost the 2024 Presidential election.

I am conflicted by it. On one hand with how far left the party has shifted, I want to seem the relegated to permanent minority status. On the other hand, I have very little faith in the Republican Party outside of President Donald J Trump and understand the need for a political counterbalance. Technically, you could argue that the marxist democrats provide a counterbalance, but it is too extreme.

Can they course correct in time? 2028 might give us a clue, but people always overreach in reactions to the outcomes of midterm elections

The Nazis on the board are demanding responses from the left. It has been done in other threads. The fact is being president is a very heady job. It is difficult to give it up, as Trump shows. My understanding was that due to age, Biden was to be a one-term president and then gone. But he decided to run again. It was possible for him to win until he froze in the debates. He should have dropped that day at least. He hung around, giving Kamala less and less time to build a campaign staff and make plans. There are people in their 80s who are still in complete control of their facilities. That was not Biden or Trump.
 
My comment, its is a good analysis of the mistakes made. I am glad they published it, it will be helpful in the future. They could easily have won had they not done some of the shit they did.

They could have easily won if Biden had bowed out before the primaries.

Didn’t need a review, it was obvious, Harris had 100 days to organize, fund, administer, and run a nationwide campaign against a candidate who had been at it for four years. Actually, given the circumstances, she did pretty good

What is not loss is the only candidates Trump ever beat were women, one with the personality of a dead fish and the other with only three months to mount a campaign, had he ran against nearly any other candidate at the time he’d still be back in NYC scamming idiots with his Trump U type frauds. Unfortunately, the country lost, and now we have an aspiring autocrat leading the nation down the toilet while personally profiting billions

Right, Harris was some unstoppable political juggernaut.

Except she had never won a national election, got vaporized in the 2020 primary before Iowa, and was then handed the nomination because Democrats decided “let the voters sort it out” was apparently too risky.

But sure, if only she had 110 days instead of 100, America would have witnessed the full power of the Harris campaign machine. Maybe by day 106 she would have discovered Pennsylvania.

Trump beat another weak opponent. Congratulations to him for clearing the lowest possible bar.

The useful lesson here is not that Harris was secretly great. It is that anointing candidates is stupid, skipping competitive primaries is stupid, and pretending party insiders know better than voters is how you end up learning the obvious the hard way.
