1. I'm not fond of crowds either. You won't find me standing up front, or wasting the money on uncomfortable floor seats (most stand there, anyway).
2. My ears are shot from concerts and hunting/shooting, so the loud concerts really aren't a problem anymore.
A few loud ones in the last few years were AC/DC (twice), Iron Maiden (also twice) & Black Sabbath years back (twice as well).
I have tickets for an upcoming concert at a small venue, they usually aren't that loud there. I prefer those.

I've got tinnitus from loud music and shooting off fireworks.
