Putin is happy when the USA is bitterly divided.
When people won't listen to one another, and they get all angry if somebody else states an opposing view, and call that person nasty things, and it doesn't solve anything, and some go to the streets and protest, and others even resort to violence, that makes Putin happy.
The reason Putin likes it when the USA is having these problems, is because then he can say to his people: "Aren't you glad you're a Russian?"
That last thing he would want would be for America to work through it's problems and learn how more effectively discuss issues, and reach more agreement on what to do about things, possible compromises so each side gets something. Basically, if America is successful. That makes Putin look bad, because Russia is so corrupt. As long as he can keep the rest of the world looking worse than Russia, he can maintain his power.

Now it is, according to Trump, "Democrat disinformation," "Democrat disinformation" that came directly from Trump's own intelligence services, his appointees, not Obama's, not the "deep state," Trump's own, is it any wonder he quickly fired those for reporting the facts to Congress which is thier responsibility

They definitely aren't the party of Clinton. Hell, they aren't even the party of Obama today. But both parties have changed over time. Republicans are no longer the party of Reagan and are not the party of Bush either. Who knows what will become of the party post Trump.
