Re #2 the US government by contract is not allowed to touch the plane for repair.....the builder and their contractors must do it.....I wish I could remember the details but I recently was told that BY CONTRACT one point of maintenance that should cost a few thousand a year costs $45K every three months.....that is how bad the scam is.
