I can’t overstate how foolish this would be, nor can I overstate how aggressively this strategy is being pushed inside of Washington. For well more than a month now, I have been highlighting how the Trump Administration has been listening to advisors hellbent on pursuing “maximum pressure” economic warfare.This is what this bombing campaign would truly be about. Most of the reporting on this highlights how this would target energy infrastructure. In all likelihood, I would imagine this to be “Bridge and Power Plants Day”.This is, of course, riddled with flaws. Not only have the Iranians proven to be incredibly adept at making rapid repairs to their infrastructure, as well as having contingencies in place for such events, but it would be entirely insane because Iran would immediately devastate Gulf countries by targeting their own energy infrastructure, as well as almost certainly Gulf water desalination that they rely on.However, it would also not surprise me in the least to see this be nothing more than a bluff. Just in the past few weeks, we have seen a plethora of aircraft, personnel, and equipment move into theater only to… sit there.But “let’s hope it’s a bluff” is not a plan of action.As Americans, as citizens of the world, we need to push back on this NOW in the public domain. We’re talking about a massive humanitarian crisis. We’re talking about BLATANT war crimes meant to cause immense civilian suffering.We CANNOT remain quiet on this.

The United States needs to reexamine the extent to which ideological extremists play a role in our Iran policy.The western media loves to talk about how the Iranian’s are extremists, but the reality is, many in the Trump Administration (and their advisors) are HELLBENT on the destruction of Iran.Not “the Iranian regime”… IRAN. It’s not about “freeing the people”, it’s about eliminating a country that is an adversary to Israel.This amount of hate, anger, and warped thinking played a large role in the mishandling of the Iran War.This needs to be a lesson that is learned from for the future.
Bold Talk from Ignorant FoolsI am always amused when military guys from days gone by wax boldly patriotic, bursting with nostalgic hubris in "the mightiest military in human history" — guys who never once faced serious firepower; guys completely unacquainted with anything remotely approaching "high-intensity combat".As I comprehensively chronicled the events over the course of 2024 and the first half of 2025, the lowly Yemeni chased away two successive CSGs from the Red Sea — first the USS Brave Sir Robin (CVN-69), then the USS Trembling Puppy (CVN-75), whose crews, by their own admission, were "traumatized" by what their admirals characterized as the most intense combat the US Navy had seen since WW2. The humble warriors of Ansarullah. The lowest rung on the ladder of potential US adversaries. And yet to this day they remain the gatekeepers of the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb.Here in 2026, the US Navy's 5th Fleet skedaddled en masse from the Persian Gulf and their home base in Bahrain — and that was early in the year, before the war had even begun. Since the war began, the US Navy has not dared sail either of their two on-station CSGs any closer than the deep blue waters separating the northern Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Oman. All it takes to keep them far away is for the Iranians to fire an occasional salvo of warning shots in their general direction.Iran wields complete fire supremacy over the Strait of Hormuz. None pass except by their express permission.US military bases in the Persian Gulf region have been relentlessly smashed by shockingly precise strikes. They have been rendered utterly indefensible. Several have now been evacuated. US air assets have been compelled to withdraw to far western Jordan, Israel, and even as distant as Bulgaria and Romania.The US military has suffered the most decisive strategic defeat in its checkered history, and guys like Matthew 'Whiz' Buckley are telling the haggard sailors to suck it up as they're feasting on a bit of rice and a couple tortillas, and showering with cold water and no soap — all because they don't have a safe harbor within thousands of miles, and woefully insufficient replenishment at sea capabilities.The US simply cannot sustain two dozen warships at war on the other side of the world. It is a task well beyond their power projection capacity and logistical wherewithal.Whaddya say, 'Whiz'? How do you propose the "mightiest military in human history" should attempt to snatch victory from the jaws of this shocking defeat?I look forward to hearing your recommendations.

Iran is making the identical demands today from Trump that it made in March, that it made during the Islamabad Talks in April, that are in the MOU signed in June, and that it reiterated throughout July. There is nothing even slightly new about the demands. The only thing that has changed is that their bargaining position is much stronger with each passing day as more and more interceptors and ATACMS are depleted, more US bases in the region are abandoned, Arab nations forge new security arrangements without the US like the MECCA Pact, and the morale gets even worse on our Aircraft Carriers.

Regimes end up locking in their power over the people when outsiders are none stop attacking them and their infrastracture.
Even those who would naturally be against the regime, inside Iran, mostly will see America as an aggressor and the one to be blamed for the deteriorations of their lives.

BREAKING: The UAE has released several billion dollars of Iran's frozen assets held in UAE banks, including 2 tonnes of gold worth $283 million, with the goal being that Iran spares the UAE from future attacks, according to multiple senior sources in Tehran with knowledge of the transfers.The assets were flown to Iran aboard a Boeing 737-7KK (A6-RJA) operated by UAE Royal Jet, from Abu Dhabi to Tehran's Mehrabad Airport and Karaj's Payam Airport on August 11 and 12, each staying one hour before returning.On June 8 the same plane flew from Abu Dhabi to Tehran's Mehrabad transferring $3 billion, multiple Iranian officials told Reuters in June.
