BREAKING: China directly rejects the G20 statement on the Strait of Hormuz, refusing to sign Bessent's paragraph expressing concern over continuing shipping disruptions and calling for free, safe, and predictable navigation through the waterway, per Treasury.China was the sole holdout. All the other 19 G20 members signed the statement. China also rejects Bessent's separate claims that "China agrees that there has to be free maritime trade in the Strait of Hormuz" and that "China gets 50% of its energy from the Gulf."Another reason for the rejection was concerns that Bessent's wording could later be used for the Taiwan Strait and South China Sea.
BREAKING: New US intelligence warns that Iran can keep the US trapped in this war for months, and may be planning a significant escalation to turn the mounting economic and political costs against Trump, per NYT.The new intelligence states that Iran believes the US military will be hard pressed to carry out major new strikes due to the catastrophic US interceptor and munition shortage. US officials believe Iran will drag out the conflict until at least the November midterms as it understands the war and the high gas prices caused by Iran's closure of the Strait of Hormuz are politically damaging to Trump and the Republican Party.Another US official says the "Iranians are feeling pretty bullish about their position. They are playing a much longer game here."
It turns out Iran didn't shoot a short-range anti-ship ballistic missiles (ASBMs) at the USS George Washington and an accompanying destroyer escort but rather medium-range hypersonic "carrier killer" Qassem Bassir ASBMs that can reach speeds of Mach 5-8. This is the first time in US history that we know of that a US near peer competitor has fired a hypersonic missile of any kind against a US warship. The US Navy has very little defense against hypersonic missiles and so these Iranian hypersonic ASBMs pose a deadly threat to US aircraft carriers and their escorts. If even one or two hypersonic missiles hit one of our carriers and it caught fire and was forced to withdraw from the region smouldering it would be a massive blow to US prestige. That is something Iran could do at any time whenever it chooses to do so if Trump fooolishly decides to keep escalating his illegal, unconstitutional imperial war of aggression against Iran.
Some people have complained that I said that Iran was winning and all they have to do to declare victory is survive. I am not here to read the propaganda. I have to call the shots according to what my computer is forecasting. I have also warned that the Neocons advising President Trump should be taken out of their positions in chains. They are putting not just the USA at risk, but the entire world with their warmongering stupidity.
BREAKING: Iran rejects the proposal, saying Iran sets the conditions of any proposal and the US "repeated violations" and shifting positions make talks currently impossible, per a senior source in Tehran to RT.Iran says all conditions must be met first, which remain unchanged: $300 billion in US compensation, complete lifting of all US sanctions, release of $100 billion in frozen Iranian assets, end of the US naval blockade, US troop withdrawal from the entire region, and a comprehensive regional ceasefire including in Lebanon and Gaza.
BREAKING: Iran's IRGC announces it struck the US destroyers USS Delbert D. Black (DDG-119) and USS John Paul Jones (DDG-53) with ballistic missiles in response to tonight's US strikes on Iranian oil tankers, saying both Aegis warships were carrying cruise missiles and that the attack "caused significant damage to these vessels."
BREAKING: New footage shows 4 medium-range Iranian ballistic missiles making direct impacts on US military infrastructure at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan, with zero interception attempts on any of the four.Earlier tonight, dozens of PAC-3 rounds were fired over the same base at the first missiles of the wave. By last week's count, two or three more nights like this emptied the Jordan magazines without a restock. This was the third night, and these four came in with nothing fired at them.
BREAKING: The Pentagon has been preparing a live-fire test of a classified weapon designed to hit Iran's Pickaxe Mountain nuclear site since the day before the war started, signing an emergency $1.2 million contract on February 27 to ready an underground test facility at White Sands, New Mexico, under a "time-sensitive national security directive," per CNN.Trump said last week the US “may hit Pickaxe very soon.” The granite mountain is beyond the reach of even the Pentagon’s heaviest non-nuclear bombs, per CSIS. Only a tactical nuclear weapon can currently damage it.New satellite imagery shows a surge in construction at Pickaxe, with work shifting from excavation to internal construction and reinforcement of the tunnel entrances, and more road activity in 2026 than in any year before.
