Is Mitch playing Opossum?

you know what would be funny.......if 52 senators vote to call witnesses but only 47 vote to call Bolton.........

No what will be funny is if the Senate votes to acquit and then Senate Judiciary Committee opens investigation into Burisma and calls in Hunter Biden

That would be funny

It would be funny to watch Republicans draw out their own destruction for as long as they can.

How is acquittal and opening a Senate Judiciary Committee investigation into Burisma and calling in Hunter Biden drawing out their own destruction?

Which will be after the Barr report.

Though I doubt that democrats have run out of Trump removal tricks—they only have a small army of criminal leakers in the government.

Frank, there have already been witnesses and every one of them have been democrat witnesses. Nadler denied any republican witnesses in Schiff’s kangaroo court. So that’s what, 17-0 in favor Democrats? And Democrats STILL don’t have a compelling case.

Think about that: not one single witness has testified in Trump’s defense. And yet, Republicans are prepared to vote while democrats demand even more witnesses. And Democrats have *the audacity* to whine about the process being ‘rigged’ if Republicans don’t vote to call even more witnesses.

They are virtually shameless.

One...the witnesses were mostly Republicans...and Republican appointees.

Two...Trump is without a doubt the most disgusting person ever to serve in his position.

Three...my second point is almost acceptable, considering the problem with Trump being the most unqualified, inept person ever to serve in that office.

Four...Trump will be acquitted...by people who would gladly have thrown almost any Democrat out of office for doing the things Trump has done.

Darth, you are supporting a person that you should be ashamed for supporting.

(1) The impeachment violated the Constitution in its origins. The Constitution says that the full House (not a committee) has sole authority for impeachment. This is supported by a Supreme Court decision.

Indeed.

This was presented brilliantly by the brilliant Trump lawyers.

Just about every Grand Juror who has ever sat...KNOWS FOR A FACT that more evidence will almost certainly be presented during the trial.
Not by the defense, Frank.

The Democrats are asking for a witness, Bolton, who is on video...

GAME OVER
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/sch...eachment-trial

A string of newly resurfaced video clips of former national security adviser John Bolton spurred President Trump and his supporters Wednesday to highlight what they described as serious credibility questions -- raised by both Democrats and Republicans -- amid the Senate impeachment trial, as the president tweeted, "GAME OVER!"

Trump linked to an interview of Bolton in August 2019 concerning Ukraine policy. In the Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty interview clip, Bolton made no mention of any illicit quid pro quo, and acknowledged, as Republicans have claimed, that combating "corruption" in Ukraine was a "high priority" for the Trump administration.

Bolton also called Trump's communications with Ukraine's leader "cordial," without mentioning any misconduct. It seemingly contradicted reported assertions in Bolton's forthcoming book that Trump explicitly told him he wanted to

tie military aid to Ukraine to an investigation of Joe Biden.

Look at the video with the article . Dems say good by to your star witness.

????......actually true.....but the more evidence is the evidence the defense will be presenting and because there will be objections to some of the evidence initially raised by the prosecution there is typically LESS evidence from the prosecution.......

Even if true about the disgusting part (it isn’t) the US Code doesn’t list “ disgusting” as a crime.

Lol

The FULL House voted for impeachment. I think you are looking for a technicality that simply does not exist.

Earl...my comment was: "Just about every Grand Juror who has ever sat...KNOWS FOR A FACT that more evidence will almost certainly be presented during the trial".

What does "not by the defense" have to do with that?

What does "The Democrats are asking for a witness, Bolton, who is on video"...have to do with that. In fact, what does it mean?

(1) The impeachment is supported by the Constitution in its origins.

(2) The House managers have presented a very compelling case (one could say 'a perfect') for impeachment.

(3) The House managers have humiliated the Defense lawyers by establishing the facts of the Articles and how they rise to impeachment level.

(4) Witnesses will be heard.

(5) The impeachment has brought out the crimes of the entire Trump wing.

It’s over but your crying

Earl erased his post about trump having really "clever lawyers". The American voters like their president innocent, not needing "clever lawyers" to distract a prosecution. So it made sense for Earl to delete that post.

 Your attention to "detail" when it comes to other posters is stalker special;)

No, Walter, the committee voted to start an impeachment investigation. This is a direct violation of the Constitution as noted.

There would have been no full House vote if the committee had not voted in violation of the Constitution.

Procedure, Walter, they were such rank amateurs that they committed an unforced error.

I did no such thing, Walter and you know it.

Just admit that a bunch of amateurs in the House botched this impeachment and ...lost.
