No. It is entirely appropriate to mention how Trump has completely hand crafted the Press pool to protect himself from questions he does not want being forwarded. how he shouts down and tells people to 'shut up' if they dare to ask a question he does not like. How each and every remaining reporter allowed into the Press Pool knows they will be kicked out if they push too hard.

Only a Magat with TDS pretends Trump is too open with the Press which is like defending Putin for being open with his hand selected press.

Trump does often say the most stupid things in front of the press (because he is stupid) but that in NO WAY alleviates the issue that he is hidden from the Press, other than his hand selected and muted ones, by his staff.

I didn’t say Trump’s press operation is impartial. I said the claim that Trump is being hidden from the press is ridiculous. The man talks constantly, takes hostile questions constantly, and routinely says things his handlers would love he didn't.

And the Biden comparison matters because it exposes the absurdity of the standard. We just watched an administration severely restrict unscripted access to a president whose condition and ability to answer questions were themselves major public issues. Much of the same press corps treated that arrangement with extraordinary gentleness.

Pointing out that glaring contrast isn't “BUT BIDEN.” It’s called applying your supposed principle consistently.

Trump is hidden from the Press.

You do not get to kick out most of the MSM and fill the room with maga influencers while making it clear to those who remain that simply asking normal type questions any other POTUS would get will get you shouted at to shut up and if you don't you will be kicked, like the others were.

That is not be open to the press.

Trump is the most protected from the press of any POTUS in our lifetime by simply kicking them all out of the room.
