I was and I remember it as incredibly high gas prices, businesses languishing, lots of empty office space, and Obama doing nothing to fix any of it. Initially, Congress was focused on Obamacare for which all Obama did was give speeches. Then when it passed by a single vote on entirely Democrat votes, the get a plan or be 'taxed' portion of it became one of the most despised features of any legislation passed by Congress in the 20th Century. Now, we know it did nothing that was promised, and if anything has delivered shittier results than if it had never been passed.
The economy recovered on its own. Obama's infrastructure spending bill was a disaster that prolonged the recovery rather than helped it. Remember the $93,000 for doorbells in some forgotten Alabama town? The whole thing was a huge waste of money.
