I think today we can all agree that normal citizens should not be getting shoulder launched rocket launchers based on the second amendment, correct?
Decades back the same type of agreement would have almost certainly been gained over some of the more extreme weapons of wars (machine guy alts) that are now being allowed.
The US has been on an escalation ladder for what is allowed as they become desensitized to the last thing that became 'allowed' and that will only continue in the future without 'serious regulation' creating categories for 'weapons of war' versus 'weapons of self defense and hunting'.

And yet you see the same magats here say when it comes to law enforcement shooting and killing unarmed all the time, that 'if the person just complied with the demands of the officer they would not be dead and there would be no issue' They say this regardless of whether the officer had the initial right to stop the person, demand they do things, etc.
just comply and all will be ok.
So that goes double for them. You do not need weapons of war if you simply just comply with that future gov't demands. You should never be fighting back... standing up for your rights... just comply and all will be ok.
So magats want it both ways in that 'we need weapons to be able to fight back against gov't over reach compromising our rights' and 'those we see now being killed by law enforcement, unarmed or not, right or not, would not die as long as they submit to gov't and do not push back'.
