Nor is the lake ours to name. The international boundary runs through the middle of the lake.
He knows it won't stick, any more than "Gulf of America" or "McKinley" have. He's just being his usual childish petty self so beloved by the simple one-celled organisms we call MAGATs.

At least in 1917 they used the proper method, not just a whim of a President who does not have that power. Unilaterally renaming things was not a power granted to the President by the Constitution.
