The Iroquois Confederation of Indians lived around all the Great lakes and named them way way way before the White Man ever got here , By hundreds of years.
Trump is just being stupid, The Indians nor the Canadians or anybody else are going to call it anything else but lake Ontario.
And when he gets replaced in the WH the next President will change everything back to what it was and should be,

I live about 3 miles from a large Indian Reservation one that was ( is ) part of the The Iroquois Confederation of Indians
The Iroquois Confederation of Indians lived all around the Great lakes in Canada and the US .
And as I said they named the lakes hundreds of years before the white Man came here.
