If you are referring to Medicare as 'govt. health care', then doing away with same will free hospitals from EMTALA requirements. As such, there will be no lines at the E.D.

There will be lines at the morgue.

Unfortunately, insurance companies have set rates that they pay, no matter what the hospital bills.

Ironically, said rates are based on what Medicare pays, so the OP opens a whole new discussion about healthcare payments in this country.

Are you saying those that want "MEDICARE for all" aren't supporting government healthcare?

Hospitals shouldn't be forced to provide care if people can't pay. You can't go the grocery store, fill your cart, and walk out without paying because you don't have any money with you. You can't go to a car dealership, pick the one you want, and drive off the lot without paying.

Based on your mindset, someone should be able to have a contractor build him/her a house and when it's done live there without paying the builder.

If there are long lines as the morgue, it's because you bleeding hearts that CLAIM you care for people without coverage didn't pay their bills for them proving you care.
