Los Angeles police fatally shot a 14-year-old girl in a Burlington Coat Factory while

Were there innocent bystanders there?

Don't know. I do know that most police departments issue subsonic rounds for officer use. Whether that's the case here, I don't know. Subsonic rounds don't have a lot of penetration due to their lower velocity. They were specifically designed to not penetrate much of anything beyond the first thing they hit. Thus, a round penetrating a couple of sheets of drywall would normally have lost sufficient velocity to make it less than lethal.

Does a dressing room typically have sheets of drywall at those types of clothing stores?

Commercial construction would require a partition wall to have metal stud and 1/2" drywall applied to both sides. If the wall were considered more than a partition--that is an actual wall separating two spaces, like an office the drywall would be required to be Type X 5/8" fire shield.

If you are looking to create an actual wall to separate two spaces from possible fire, then yes. A dressing room can be shielded with a temporary piece of cloth.

According to the articles on this, the wall facing the officers was a drywall one and the dressing rooms were not visible to them.

and how far away was he .... and when was the last time ALL of the involved popo's were at the range ... and what were their scores ...

Still no excuse for stupidity with a firearm. Know your target and what's behind it. That should have been taught from the beginning.

Oh sure, we're just supposed to believe they're the one precinct not taught to fire center mass? Not a teaching issue, not a learning issue, certainly not a training issue....

Pig unions, man.... keep the heat on them pig unions. Theyve been legislating by policy like it wasnt completely fkn illegal and for much too long.

Verified criminal organization.

Being overzealous with a firearm is a common sense issue. One of the first things taught.

The "pig unions" (despite myself not being a fan of unions) has nothing to do with knowing
your target and what's behind it. Accidents with firearms aren't "accidents," especially when
firing in a crowded area (such as a department store). How many rounds were fired?

Yes. So why did the bullet go through a changing room? Does the cop have a bad aim? Did he think the changing room was a danger to him?

The LV shooter was floors up. The cops would have to shoot at a downward angle to even hit anyone on the ground.

9mm pierces a lot further than is optimal for shooting in a crowded area. Shotguns and .45s are better.

A 9mm hardball can go completely through 2 people easy.

Shotgun in a crowded area? HUH?

A .45 packs quite a punch, far more than a 9MM (which is a "scaled down" .38).
