Who gives a fuck what they're names are? No one here knows them.

Not saying they deserved to die but people die every single day. Hundreds of thousands of them.

It's not news.

Ya.....like maybe they should not have been there.....like maybe the FAA failed us......again.

I’ve seen enough. This is a complete CRM disaster by the crew. Pilot error - both seats. A clusterfuck. Complete chaos. No excuse. Feel for them a little, but this killed people. Reeks of inexperience frankly.

trump has hollowed out the FAA... But it is too early to know for sure.
Ya we dont know.....but one thing I want to know is why is a 55 yo pilot with 7000+ hours reclassifying airplane types and hiring on to a cut rate cargo outfit with a shitty reputation in a pilot shortage?

Makes me want to know more about his history.

There are a lot of unemployed pilots, and there is no job security anymore. He took the job he could.

I am wondering if he had a lot of time off, and was just now getting back into the air.....was rusty.

7000+ hour and flying like an idiot.....how does that happen?

I hope there was a blood draw.

The FAA had nothing to do with that shit landing the crew of that plane made. They should have recognized they weren't going to get the plane down safely halfway down that runway--about the time it passed behind that truck in the foreground of the video--and declared that they needed to go around and started getting the plane back in the air for a go-around and another attempt at the landing.

The pilot certification is totally FAA....if someone was in the air that should not have been then that would be FAA failure.

That's like claiming that a driving test at the DMV makes you a Formula 1 driver. That line of reasoning is utter bullshit. The pilot had 7,000+ hours of flying time. He should have recognized the landing was messed up and "bolted." Going around was the thing to do.

We'll know more about what went on in the cockpit when the flight recorders are examined, but it's looking like major pilot error and nothing else.

Who gives a fuck what they're names are?

I did.

No one here knows them.

I do.

The flight crew names became public on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

Miami-Dade Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz briefed that morning that both pilots had been treated and released. Outlets including the Miami Herald and CBS then matched names from the sheriff’s office materials against the FAA pilot database and LinkedIn:

  • Captain Joseph Carroll (sometimes reported as Carol), 55
  • First Officer Jaime Felipe Silva Molina (sometimes Filipe), 37

Both flew for 21 Air, the contractor operating the Amazon Prime Air 767. The NTSB itself did not name them in its Monday or Tuesday briefings; investigators planned to interview the crew on Wednesday, September 9. Both pilots survived.

Not saying they deserved to die but people die every single day. Hundreds of thousands of them.

They didn't die.

The pilot and co-pilot have been released from the hospital, Miami-Dade County Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz said Tuesday.

It's not news.

Says who?

Remember when Trump bragged because he took credit when nobody was killed in an air crash during his first term?
