Mueller defends Barr: Says no contradiction on obstruction

Gross negligence = crime.

Extreme carelessness = acute sloppiness.

You know better than that, surely lol.

You can be ‘acutely sloppy’ driving an automobile and hurt someone and get charged with gross negligence. The two terms are perfectly synonymous but only one of them are found in the statute pertaining to classified information.

It was a word-change done to keep from indicting Hillary—and it was bloody brazen. It’s like they don’t care that people know what they are doing. And they got away with it.

“The indictment or criminal prosecution of a sitting President would unconstitutionally undermine the capacity of the executive branch to perform its constitutionally assigned functions,” the 1973 guidance, written when President Richard Nixon was facing obstruction of justice charges.

The other opinion – written in 2000 when charges of obstruction of justice were being leveled at former President Bill Clinton – read: "Our view remains that a sitting President is constitutionally immune from indictment and criminal prosecution."

Those are legal *opinions* and are totally open to challenge.

All it would take would be for someone to indict a sitting president and send it to SCOTUS. Mullet had an opportunity to do just that but he chose not to.

Enough of pretending there was some sort of insurmountable legal barrier that kept Mullet from actually indicting Trump instead of smearing him with innuendo.

Yesterday was a low point for our system of justice.

You don’t know “would have” from shit.

“If we had confidence that the president had clearly not committed a crime we would have said so. We did not.”

Here’s another Justice System 101 question lol:

At the *end* of an investigation a prosecutor declares ‘we can’t say with confidence that the subject did not commit a crime’.

The investigation is OVER, what happens next?

Apologists for Cadet Bone Spurs remind one of the power of belief systems on people. The transformation of the American conservatives into followers of a phony actor is something historians will puzzle over for years to come. I have been reading 'Humanity: A Moral History of the Twentieth Century' by Jonathan Glover and you see the power ideas have on people. I recommend it for everyone but enter with caution. Trump has been a failure in all his businesses, cheats on his wives, pays off prostitutes, praises dictatorial men and their regimes, lies constantly but he has tapped into the resentment Americans feel for each other. Emotion powers his base not thought or reason.

"What is patriotism? Let us begin with what patriotism is not. It is not patriotic to dodge the draft and to mock war heroes and their families. It is not patriotic to discriminate against active-duty members of the armed forces in one's companies, or to campaign to keep disabled veterans away from one's property. It is not patriotic to compare one's search for sexual partners in New York with the military service in Vietnam that one has dodged. It is not patriotic to avoid paying taxes, especially when American working families do pay. It is not patriotic to ask those working, taxpaying American families to finance one's own presidential campaign, and then to spend their contributions in one's own companies. It is not patriotic to admire foreign dictators. It is not patriotic to cultivate a relationship with Muammar Gaddafi; or to say that Bashar al-Assad and Vladimir Putin are superior leaders. It is not patriotic to call upon Russia to intervene in an American presidential election. It is not patriotic to cite Russian propaganda at rallies." "Cold, grasping, bleak, graceless, and dull; unctuous, sleek, pitiless, and crass; a pallid vulgarian floating through life on clouds of acrid cologne and trailed by a vanguard of fawning divorce lawyers, the devil is probably eerily similar to Donald Trump—though perhaps just a little nicer." https://www.firstthings.com/web-exclusives/2011/05/a-person-you-flee-at-parties

The OP is a lie.

"There was no witch-hunt, no exoneration."

There is no criminal investigation here, moron. Mueller was not acting in the capacity as a prosecutor with the Trump investigation.

such crap.

Qadaffi gave up his nukes and was a member in good standing of the UN. the pretext that Qadaffi pilots
were going to bomb civilians in Bengazi was a lie -pushed by Hilary and Powers and Rice.
They lied about Qadaffi troops using Viagra for rape as well.

Putin was a reaction to Yeltsin and our meddling in the Russian election

Comey’s version of non-indictment/non-exoneration was that Hillary had no ‘intent’—even though the relevant statute doesn’t require intent.
It is always amazing how you can make up shit about what the law says and then pretend what you made up is fact. The only law concerning the handling of classified materials that doesn't require intent can't result in criminal charges. It allows for the person to be reprimanded or fired.

https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/1924 - requires "knowingly" and "with intent"
https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/798 "whoever knowingly and willingly"

https://www.law.cornell.edu/cfr/text/46/503.59 - allows for negligence to violate this law but the allowed response is "shall be subject to appropriate sanctions, which may include reprimand, suspension without pay, removal, termination of classification authority, loss or denial of access to classified information"

You might want to stop making shit up Darth.

Hillary didn’t know ‘C’ stood for Classified lol.

Anyone who believes that I have a bridge I’ll sell them.

Of course anyone in the real world knows that (c) stands for classified. :palm:
Did you know that most of the laws in the US contain (c). Are they classified?

This post is now classified according to your idiotic argument. Sorry, but regulations require that anything that is classified have a header stating as much. Without that header (c) means nothing.

there wasn't even complete investigations on the so called 10 0bstructioon..Mueler just cobbled a bunch of stuff and referred it to Congress

Good. They can take that roadmap and build on it. Toss in those financial records and perhaps even the Senate cowards will be convinced.

900 former federal prosecutors say those are prosecutable save for he is President.

You are quite the Hillary apologist.

You must be proud of yourself. I noticed you skipped the gross negligence/extreme carelessness absurdity.

To charge a crime you have to have several things.
1. A criminal statute
2. evidence that the criminal statute was broken
3. If the statute requires intent, then some evidence of that intent.

This is some pretty basic stuff.
1. Which statute do you allege Hillary violated? Until you even name the statute there is no argument about gross negligence.

Without a specific statute you are quite the "Lock her up" idiot. Trump is innocent but Hillary guilty? There is a lot more evidence that Trump obstructed justice than there is of Hillary violating any law you wish to bring up. Whether Trump could be convicted because of the intent question is up in the air but the 10 instances cited by Mueller show a distinct pattern. On their own, I think some of the instances Mueller cites are unprosecutable because there is room for reasonable doubt. Other instances are pretty solidly laid out with facts that are not disputable. For the statutes that Trump may have violated, I direct you to page 219 of the Mueller report where he lists 5 statute sections that apply.
