Never forget: Trump called WWII veterans who died for freedom "losers" and "suckers".

A few notes on the draft and politicians...

About a third of all draftees from WW 2 to Vietnam were rejected for service. The most common reasons were medical issues, followed by incompetence or mental health issues. In some parts of the US up to half of all draftees were rejected. These areas tended to be the deep South and larger urban areas on the East coast.

Most draftees didn't go to Vietnam. Many who did actually volunteered to go once inducted.

So, with respect to the politicians that have gotten national attention for their draft status or military service:

Trump: Got a medical deferment. Like it or not, he got one. I won't comment on the validity of his claim but it was accepted by the military's physicians.
Clinton: Used an ROTC sign up to get a college deferment when he knew he'd be drafted. Once he got it, he dropped ROTC. That is clearly dodging the draft.
Bush II: Used his family connections to get into the Texas Air National Guard. That got him around the draft by being in the National Guard. His performance of duty is a different issue.
Kerry: Signed up for naval service.
Gore: Enlisted in the Army as a journalist.

Of the group, only Clinton was clearly a draft dodger. Trump might be, but there's no proof his medical deferment wasn't legitimate. The others served in one capacity or another.

No worries. We're not forgetting.

I got drafted and went, despite not being happy about it.
I guess that doesn't make me much of a hero;
until I compare myself to Bone Spurs, that is..

If somebody doesn't see him/herself being effective as a soldier and tries to get out of it, that's one thing.
That's what I sometimes wish I had done since nightmares remain to this day.

Calling the ones who went "suckers and losers," one would argue,
is another fucking thing altogether.

Don't even attempt discussion with someone who can't see that.

The orangutan makes pond scum appear to be an advanced life form in comparison.

HE DIDN'T. IT WAS KERRY WHO CALLED SOLDIERS IN IRAQ "STUPID".

Biden said a 9 year old girl looks like an adult....He said it, and he believes it. And you support him. Enough said.

We're discussing Donald Trumps disgusting comments about WWII Veterans. If you want to obsess over pedophilia, there are plenty of threads for you to participate in. Thanks.

proof? How about the doctor who signed the Trump letter. He said he did it because he was paying rent it Daddy Trump for his office. So he went along. Trump continued golfing and playing sports. Trump did not want to be a sucker. Nobody in his family wanted to be suckers.

So lemme get this straight. These MORONS want us to believe that DJT as President of The United states just stood there in front of Generals and other military personnel and as he looked out on the markers said...." You see all those guys,...their nothing but a bunch of suckers and losers" Umm,...yeah...that really happened.

GTFOtta here you bunch of DOPES!

haven't looked at the whole thread, but I can tell you he said that in front of staffers from the National Security Council and the Secret Service

And the US military's doctors accepted it. They could and likely did their own physical examination.

Aside from that, the only one on that list I gave that clearly and irrefutability dodged the draft was Clinton.

Trump says it and then let's his minions do the damage control.

The same thing happened with his "injecting disinfectant" comments. His dick-sucking minions were running around thinking of how to spin it so it doesn't look so ridiculous. But they did, just like they look ridiculous trying to spin this one.

It's fucking hilarious as well as pathetic.

MILITARY TIMES — President Donald Trump acknowledged to advisors that he made up a fake injury to avoid military service, because “I wasn’t going to Vietnam,” his former lawyer told lawmakers during testimony on Wednesday.

Michael Cohen, who also worked as a fixer for Trump before his election, said he was tasked with tamping down criticism of the military deferment as the presidential candidate simultaneously mocked Sen. John McCain, a former prisoner of war in Vietnam, for being regarded as a military hero. “I like people who weren’t captured," Trump said during a July 2015 interview.

“Mr. Trump claimed (his medical deferment) was because of a bone spur, but when I asked for medical records, he gave me none and said there was no surgery,” Cohen told members of the House Oversight Committee. “He told me not to answer the specific questions by reporters but rather offer simply the fact that he received a medical deferment.

“He finished the conversation with the following comment: ‘You think I'm stupid, I wasn't going to Vietnam.’”

Veterans groups furious with White House over ‘disrespect’ following John McCain’s death

WASHINGTON — Leadership from two prominent veterans groups on Monday blasted White House officials for “disrespect” in their response to the death of former Arizona Sen. John McCain, insisting the Navy veteran deserved more national recognition.

"It’s outrageous that the White House would mark American hero John McCain’s death with a two-sentence tweet, making no mention of his heroic and inspiring life,” Joe Chenelly, AMVETS national executive director, said in a statement.

“By lowering flags for not one second more than the bare minimum required by law, despite a long-standing tradition of lowering flags until the funeral, the White House is openly showcasing its blatant disrespect for Senator McCain’s many decades of service and sacrifice to our country as well as the service of all his fellow veterans.”

Nope, you are making shit up again. His lawyers took care of it while Trump golfed. The doctor who wrote it for Trump told the tale.
