Nike, Nike, Nike!

This is a side topic - but it's really only when black guys make a lot of money that the idea of "making a lot of money" seems to be an issue.

Not race baiting; just an accurate observation.

It's because said Black man has a lot of money so he shouldn't complain about anything.

He's to be grateful the white man allowed him to succeed.

But be careful, he can take that money and status away from you just as easily as he gave it to you. .......See Michael Jackson and Bill Cosby

Be like Michael Jordan collect your billions and STFU!

Do you for one second think you could be wrong about the midterm elections or do you think it is a done deal?

I'm a little like you, in that Polls are no longer reliable!

But, I also believe that the Special Council Investigation is going to be wrapping up soon now after Manafart has agreed to cop a plea, and rat Donnie's ass out.

I think when Muellers report to the House comes forth in the next few days, many Republicans that are not happy with Donald Trump will just say "Fuck It" and sit out the fall election in disgust!

Probably you too! LOL!

Absolutely.

They think they know better than black people .. while claiming to support .. black people.

... go figure.

That's exactly what he said.

"Bottom line: nobody can tell you shit, because you know everything"

I guess he knows better than you.

Ten years down the road, there will still be people refusing to ever buy Nike products. Will the America-haters, who recently decided to purchase Nike, still be wearing the sploosh?

I agree with much of this post .. except democrats are far FAR preferable to republicans .. and the necessary legislation that is requied is FAR more likely to come from democrats.

Democrats run Chicago, St. Louis, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Cleveland just to name a few places where a good bit of police brutality occurs.

Republicans have little or no municipal power in such places so why should they campaign on it?

I'd disagree with that overall assessment. Without doubt, there is a lot of fussing and screaming and nonsensical talk. But on the cable panels, on capitol hill and just in general conversation, there is definitely more discussion and a heightened awareness of things like police brutality, wrongful arrest, profiling & other aspects of unequal treatment, as well as some of the racism that is unfortunately still inherent in our justice system.

Ultimately, when we can reach a day where there is a broad consensus that things have significantly improved, I think it's likely that Kap will get strong credit - not for being solely responsible or anything, but just like civil rights and other fights, for being a key catalyst at a pivotal time.
OK...we'll just have to agree to disagree....

Sure .. because you have issues with Nike, everybody will. :palm: Wow

I can't say I'm actually boycotting Nike, since I buy different brands, already. That said, I am not even boycotting the NFL, yet plenty of people have made it clear to me that they do not plan to ever end their boycott.

Why LeBron James Is Right to Tweet Bullish Comments on Nike's Stock
Nike's stock is on fire.

"The Dow Jones Industrial Average component's stock has rallied about 6% since it unveiled its controversial new ad campaign with Colin Kaepernick. "Well I mean I guess WE'RE on fire," Nike sponsor/greatest basketball player on the planet LeBron James tweeted Thursday night. As we wrote in Morning Jolt after the Kaepernick ad was revealed: "Long-term investors should favorably view the deal as it shows Nike trying to skate where the puck is headed in society."

Most data I have seen hint Nike's online sales have surged since Sept. 4 as consumers have rallied around the company's efforts. The rally isn't a shocker. Two-thirds of consumers (66%) said it's important for brands to take public stands on social and political issues, according to a new survey from Sprout Social. Roughly 61% of respondents said it's important for brands to do so through social media specifically, which is the top channel for consumer receptivity. In effect, Nike has tapped right into the pulse of the majority of its consumers and appears to be coming out a winner.

LeBron is right about the stock price.

Of course B'wana Trippy knows more about it than LeBron.

Everybody is free to do whatever they want to do .. or not.

Because they care about equal rights?

Well, I've heard some say that, anyway...

Who asked them to. They are racists .. why would they.

NO ONE NEEDS THEM.
