What is your definition of 'working'. 150K dead instead of 2.2 million seems like a positive.

Daycares aren’t open. How does that work? You Trumperoos point the finger at the left and call them tyrannical, and now you expect people to put their lives and their family's live in grave danger for the benefit of big corporations.
Daycares aren’t open. How does that work?
Judy Woodruff: "We do have these apparently two new grim forecasts today. I want to ask about the CDC report yet. We haven't seen all the numbers. The White House is saying it's not their numbers, but they are talking about, by June 1, 3,000 deaths a day. They're talking about up to 200,000 new cases a day.
This is — this is the wrong direction."
Laurie Garrett:
"Absolutely, Judy. And it's a huge, explosive growth they're predicting.
And it's basically — if you look at the distribution that they are imagining, it's really the Prairie states, the sort of Mississippi Valley, and the Deep South states.
And it seems, I think — though we don't have access to the raw data that they are working with, but it does seem to coincide with these outbreaks that have been occurring inside of meatpacking plants, nursing homes, Veterans Administration hospitals, that have claimed large numbers of workers in those facilities, but haven't yet generalized into the larger community.
And I think they're projecting that there will be generalization, that a typical — an infected meatpacker, for example, might then infect their family members, some of those family members may infect local storekeepers, and so on.
So I think they're imagining a pretty explosive set of growths, all in fairly small remote areas, and, in many cases, rural counties."
Explosive forecasts
The president said on April 16th that the USA has 'passed the peak.'
BBC
The president was terribly wrong.
We have not passed the peak yet. It is getting worse. The worst is yet to come.
And now it is moving from the cities into rural areas, moving from Democratic strongholds into Republican ones.
How will that affect our politics?
I don't trust DeSantis, but I think there is more pressure now to accurately report. Is that the reason for the larger death toll? Not sure, but either way, Florida appears to be going UP not DOWN. The same appears to be true in other states as well.
I have that bookmarked, and its where I got that information. To date, the highest single day death toll in Florida was 52. We are sadly at 68 already today.
We can also add Ohio and Illinois to that list. They will also see their highest single day death tolls since the pandemic began. Pennsylvania is also very close to exceeding their highest daily death toll.
Washington had only 5 new cases show up last week. Sure beats the earlier numbers!
Your 'list' and argument is suffering from a base rate fallacy.. What are you comparing 'highest' against? 'Highest' against what?

Projections?![]()
What is yours? 50 million unemployed and poverty? #moron
2.2 million? STFU you fucking retard. #idiot

The numbers through May 1st are actuals, not projections. I guess reading a chart is another skill that you lack.
