Now that they rigged Pratt out who wins?

California is in decline. It's not going to happen in a decade, more like a century. That decline has been going on since, roughly, the 70's. As the state has moved solidly Left politically, it's seen business and better off citizens flee.

Silicon Valley is in Arizona and Texas now. All that's left in California are code monkeys in office buildings and they are leaving now too that remote work is possible.

Aerospace is gone. Some R&D remains, but manufacturing? It's all gone.

Agriculture is leaving too. Between mismanagement of water resources, massive taxes, and government interference, the farmers are leaving.

California's wine industry is evaporating. Arizona and New Mexico are the new sites for vineyards. However, California's whine industry is putting out a bumper crop of stupidity.

Calif leads the nation in agricultural products. Many crops they produce almost 100 percent. They have vast industrial products from autos, windmills and many, many others. You are just so wrong so often.I coul go through more, but I am talking to a right-wing wall of disinformation.

It may lead, but it is losing ground fast.

Kind of hard to produce automobiles in California where there are no plants producing automobiles in California

As for wind and solar... Given that these two products are economic losers, the only reason companies in California exist to support them is massive government subsidies propping them up.

If Pratt won the City Council wouldn't have worked with him, at the same time L.A. has a strong Mayor system so he would have had the ability to change things.

I'd push back on the Detroit comparison. Yes Hollywood is important to L.A., but their economy is much more diversified than Detroit's ever was.
Okay...let's look at their economy:

Hollywood itself has turned into Woke nonsense, and more and more is being produced elsewhere.
The oil and gas refiners are leaving.
Ships are avoiding the port now, due to rampant crime and lack of fuel.
Independent truckers have left or are leaving.
Union Pacific and BNSF are both considering stopping train service due to abusive laws.
Water supplies are considerably curtailed since ecowackos have insisted on destroying reservoirs.
Power generating capacity in the SDTC is woefully insufficient, leaving the territory open to more and more instability of supplying power.
Six Flags has closed.
Disneyland has become too expensive to visit.
Air traffic and LAX and SNA are reduced, and face lack of fuel.
Several restaurant chains that started in the SDTC and particularly in the Los Angeles area are leaving.
McDonald-Douglass is gone.
Boeing is closing the Long Beach plant and moving jobs to Texas.
Several music and film producers are moving to Texas, Utah, or Florida.
Federal fraud is rampant in the SDTC.
Continuing violent crime in Los Angeles, including open looting, riots, shootings, thuggery, harboring of illegal aliens, insurrection, carjacking, vandalism, murder, and arson are major problems.
Homelessness and drug use is everywhere, making the streets filthy and unsafe.

No fun.
