I advocate waiting for an actual charge that *meets the legal definition* of insurrection, and then, we’ll discuss the 1/6 insurrection instead of the 1/6 riot. And you’re right: neither was a insurrection according to law. But according to the dictionary it’s another matter.
And I was pointing out that a precinct level of insurrection—is still an insurrection.
The larger point is that 1/6 flowed out of nearly a year of leftist mobs in the streets. Rioting, looting, bashing cops in the head with bricks and etc. It didn’t spring up out of thin air—it occurred within the context of political violence that went on through most of 2020. In fact, it only missed happening in 2020 by six days.
