Marriage is a legal and binding contract that has taking care of children as one of its aims. If you think it is not, get a divorce and the courts will make it clear to you. Gays have the same rights straight people do. No more, no less.

Marraige is a holy covenant before God. It has NOTHING to do with Government. It should never have had anything to do with Government and it is time to separate the two.

If gays want to enter into a civil union LICENSE recognizing the LEGAL obligations it entails, that's fine. In Germany there are TWO ceremonies for those of religious faith; one is to get the license from the Government in a Civil Union. The other is the religious ceremony within the Church.

They are TWO distinct things. Trying to dismantle the meaning is Communistic and further erodes the role of parenting.
