Pregnant 19-year-old, child die trying to climb US wall

You need to improve your reading comprehension.

Are you saying it means she should break the law and go into someone's home without their permission?

To save her life? This is what is called extenuating circumstances.

You assume the one chasing her wouldn't go in after her.

What he may or may not do is not the point. There are likely to be knives in there. Maybe even a baseball bat. A phone. Anything to defend herself.

So you believes it's OK to break the law if you can claim a reason?

Not what I said at all. If the reason is not legitimate, then it will not work. Criminals have done that all the time.

It is as much the point as her going into the house. How do you know what's in a random house?

By definition, extenuating circumstances renders the conduct less serious. In other words, you're saying that because her life was in danger, it's OK for her to break the law and not be punished for it.

Again, it depends. Is it breaking a law if someone takes a bottle of beer and smashes it on someone's head when he robs the clerk at gun point? He hasn't bought the bottle.

We're not talking about beer.

whether or not someone broke the law depends only on what they did not what excuse they can make for having done it.

I never talked about excuses. Making excuses for breaking laws is wrong.

What the excuse for breaking immigration laws ? Looking for a better life is not an excuse

the pic of the dead man and baby in the river...they were breaking the law!

If you remember, we do not know the background of the pregnant woman and why she risked herself and her baby scaling over 19 foot wall.
