Clay and Buck Preview Tuesday’s Talk with President Trump


CLAY: Tomorrow in this same hour that you are listening to right now, Hour 2, we will have the president of the United States, number 45 himself, Donald Trump. Hopefully, Buck, he’ll stay with us for a little while. But he’s scheduled to join us the top of the second hour. He will be the first guest that we have had on the program so far.

BUCK: As long he wants to hang out with Clay and Buck, we will let him hang out with Clay and Buck gratefully. We’ll be very happy to have him. So, hopefully he’ll stay for a while.

CLAY: Yeah. It should be a lot of fun. And, obviously, he’s going to the border on Wednesday, and he was a big reason why suddenly Kamala Harris went on Friday, which we talked about. The design of the Friday trip as well, Buck, was to have it disappear into the weekend so that they didn’t have to talk about it coming back to start the week.

BUCK: Yeah, well, I’m sure that 45 is gonna have some thoughts on that one tomorrow, on that whole situation, and then some. And, of course, we’re gonna have to… One place we’re gonna have to push a little bit is, “Sir, you’re out there; you’re doing rallies. Are you gonna run?”

CLAY: Of course.

BUCK: But we’re gonna ask him and then we’re gonna try to press him a little because —

CLAY: When do you think he has to make a decision?

BUCK: (exhales) You know, I think we’re gonna have to ask him that honestly.

CLAY: Is there a deadline?

BUCK: Yeah, there is a deadline, and no one’s… It’s so far out right there that I don’t even think that’s really factoring into it. I think it’s just a question of does he want to go for it again? Does he have the energy, the stamina? I mean, look, you know, we’ve been talking about some of the Ron DeSantis polling and he’s really got a lot of momentum.

He’s got some strong wind at his back here. You know, Trump has very similar numbers of people that would support him on the GOP side. So, you have two great options here, and it is just a question of whether Trump wants to make that one last run. So I’m looking forward to talking about it tomorrow, and one thing we can promise you all — ’cause you know this, but (chuckling) — it will be interesting, to have Donald J. Trump chatting with us here.

CLAY: It certainly will, and I do think the timeline of when he makes his choice, because in 2022 — which isn’t feeling that far away right now, right? I mean, one of the reasons why this infrastructure bill is being pushed like it is and why the batting is such a massive story is, I do think that the Biden people are looking at the polls, and they are aware that effectively now that they’re six months in, they might only have two or three more months of actually being able to get anything done until we start to move into the 2022 cycle.

BUCK: I don’t think you’re gonna hear a lot of… Here’s a prediction: You’re not gonna hear a lot of defund police from Democrats in competitive districts or states. I can tell you that. I think we’re being able to see a shift in that regard. One other note. We should ask — we will ask — the former president tomorrow, Clay. You know the Trump Organization has this deadline today to convince New York prosecutors not to file criminal charges. The CFO of the Trump administration Allen Weisselberg has, quote, “refused to flip.”

CLAY: They’ve been going after him forever.

BUCK: This is the Manhattan DA weaponizing the prosecutor’s office.

CLAY: Yes.

BUCK: Look, this is the Trump Organization. So, it’s not like this is a case against Trump himself personally. But just the fact that they’re continuing with this harassment, it’s in part because… Well, no, it’s not “in part.” It’s almost entirely because. I mean, it’s driven by the desire to try to make things rough for Trump, and the left wants him to say, “I’ve got a great life. I got a great family. I’m gonna go play golf and leave this to somebody else.” They want Trump to do that.

The former "Rush Limbaugh Show" will become "The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show," airing noon to 3 p.m. ET in 100 markets around the country starting June 21, Premiere Networks announced.

"We're not going to replace Rush Limbaugh; we're going to have an evolution of the show with fresh voices — those that grew up on Rush and admired him," Premiere Networks President Julie Talbott told The Wall Street Journal.

Limbaugh succumbed to lung cancer in February and the network has kept airing both re-runs and guest hosts during his time slot.

"Rush's connection with his audience is one of the primary legacies of his show," Travis, 42, founder of Outkick.com, said. "I also think Buck and I have the unique ability to offer a perspective that many people in their 20s and 30s are desperate to hear."

Travis, a self-proclaimed moderate, according to the Journal, is author of "Republicans Buy Sneakers, Too: How the Left Is Ruining Sports With Politics."

Sexton, 39, is a former Central Intelligence Agency officer and a New York Police Department counterterrorism expert.

"The most dominant talk radio hosts have been from one generation; Clay and I represent the next phase," Sexton said, according to the Journal. "We're going to bring the perspective of two guys who see a country they're deeply worried about, and a massive audience that needs people who will speak for them.

"Some of our movie references and pop culture sensibility will shift a little."

Trump will be in court fighting for his freedom. He is not running for office, but to avoid jail.
This was all bad luck for him. He did not run to win. He ran to enhance his brand and make more money. Then by a cosmic accident, he sort of won. It is the worst thing that could happen to him. He ran again because the statute of limitations was running out on many of his crimes. He desperately needs the protections. Now he has to face the law.

And all of the evidence that would prove or disprove the election fraud and validate or repudiate that 7 million vote alleged win has been hijacked by George Soros' buying off those who would, otherwise, deliver justice to the American people.

The Dems are never going to allow a real audit of their 'stolen' election because they know they would lose and they don't care about the stigma of their dishonesty. They only care about winning at any cost.

They can accept a dispute that might never be resolved as long as they are in control of U.S.

Because the dishonest media began poisoning our minds and his reputation from day one.

They began an impeachment campaign against him BEFORE he was inaugurated.

Even before he was the presumptive GOP nominee, there was a call to begin working on a pro-active effort to impeach him, just in case he was successful.

Before Trump was even the GOP's chosen one. And definitely before Trump was even the elected one. "Donald Trump isn't even the Republican nominee yet," as Politico wrote at the time.
