Energy independence would mean we got no energy from outside the US.
The fact that the US may have exported more than it imported is not evidence of independence. It only means we were a net exporter.

Mr. Soros must be far more powerful than anyone could imagine, he has bough off the state legislatures, the court system, the Supreme Court and any number of Secretaries of State.
