Pruitt is out at EPA

The fact that Obama sold American jobs down the river for the sake of a few votes was destined to get reversed. Pruitt was just the guy to do it. his job is done.

next time any liberal nut-bag thinks it's a good idea to place job killing regulations that do nothing to protect the environment, beware that there is a repairman in waiting. You can only do so much to keep liberals from ruining this country, it's just a shame we have to spend so much time fixing what you break.

Who?

WOTUS / Ozone ridiculously low...that had to change.. EPA core mission is unchanged..Pruitt did good

He also changed the culture so that the EPA must publish all its studies and findings. It became too used to working behind closed doors, safe in the knowledge that they were a law unto themselves.

There is apparently a rightwing cottage industry dedicated to promoting the myth that USEPA is some abusive federal authority, stealing power from the states and dictating policy and conditions to them under threat of retribution.

None of that comports in the remotest way with my experience with USEPA, who are generally pretty reasonable, and provide states plenty of latitude to institute their own environmental policies, with federal law there to provide a baseline backstop.

I have to agree that's been my experience too. I know the ultra conservatives on here will scoff at that notion but I would challenge them to attend an open public comment meeting involving permitting of some environmentally sensitive project. You will walk away comforted by the relative sanity of EPA. And no they're not all left wing fruit cakes trying to save spotted owls and snail darters that show up at those meetings. Far from it! LOL

LOL God I can't help but laughing at this sort of ideological fantasy lalaland nonsense. Oh tell me beringed one. What Jobs have EPA regulations killed? LOL LOL LOL

I remember how people cried when EPA was enacted that environmental law would cripple industry. What nonsense. What's happened is it created an entire new industry.

Do you know how much revenue the coal industry that your falsely accusing Obama of killing generates each year? $40 Billion per year. Do you know how many people the coal industry employs? 175,000 people.

Do you know how much revenue the environmental industry generates annually? $330 billion. Do you know how many people it employs? Nearly 2 million.

So Trump wants to undermine a $330 billion industry that provides nearly 2 million jobs in order to promote an obsolete coal industry that can't compete with fracking advances that only generates 12% of the revenue of the environmental industry and employs only about 9% of the jobs that are produced by the environmental industry.

So based on those facts go ahead and tell me about who's killing jobs. LOL

transparency is always needed for the stealth bureaucrats .

It's not like the states can't do their intrastate pollution controls either. when they can't only then the EPA need step in
DC centralization is the problem ( besides being anti-federalist). Remote bureaucrats don't give a damn about hurting the locals

Where are you getting that figure of $330 billion, it smells like bullshit to me?

I use USEPA data all the bloody time. USEPA, USGS, NRCS, NWS, NMFS, NOAA, and other government agencies put a lot of effort into making data publically available. From what I understand, there are privacy issues associated certain medical data and public health studies which render them prone to non-disclosure.

You wouldn't know that, because it sounds like you are just mindlessly parroting what you heard on Hannity or NewsMax.

You know what I do when I see a thread on a topic in which I actually have no knowledge, expertise, personal experience, or topical insight? That's right. I usually keep my mouth shut.

I am sure that those at the coal face are eminently sensible and level headed, but a fish rots from the head first. Lisa Jackson and Gina McCarthy did their level best to turn the EPA into a government offshoot of Greenpeace. Tell me why the EPA got into climate science, when did that become part of their remit?

When the data lead the science there.

doesn't it though,
Mott the poople watches a CNN documentary and suddenly the sky is falling, our coastal cities are going to flood due to the ice cap melting seas rising, we won't be able to breath without gas masks.
And he want's everyone to sacrifice their livelyhoods to make him feel better.
I'll tell you these nut-jobs were this close to ruining this country from the top down.

Trump was basically put where he is by the fabric of this great nation that has said enough is enough.
It's time for common sense approaches to A-Z problems, but not without thinking them through

Mott works in the chemical waste disposal industry, he loves government regulations. The more the merrier, it keeps him employed.

Mott the Poople...:rofl2:

Isn't it a fact that liberals have been predicting that coastal cities are going to flood due to the ice cap melting, seas rising, and we won't be able to breathe without gas masks for decades now?

Yet none of them have adopted a green lifestyle, AFAIK.

That's telling.

Very telling.

The quoted comments by the ignored shill H. Moron remind me of a Tea Party conservative friend some years ago. She works for TSA in Colorado as some sort of supervisor. One of her duties was filling out reams of paperwork, most of which she blamed on the EPA because they were material data sheets. At least she's smarter than H. Moron and quit blaming the EPA after I pointed out that those forms are OSHA's not the EPA's. They were still, of course, "government overreach." lol

Nobody gives a fuck about your imaginary friend!

Talk about overdue. Pruitt has been the single biggest embarrassment of a cabinet official since James Watt. Rumor has it his replacement will be Looten Pillage.

I mean seriously. Appointing Pruitt to regulate pollution was like hiring Willy Sutton to regulate banking.

You mean like toxic spills by EPA officials in Colorado waterways, Flint MI lead reporting discrepancies that were ignored? He presided over that kind of damning incompetencies? Oh wait...
