Well, that's why Uncle Sugar is running things. With a Hostile Group controlling the sea lanes to the Suez Canal, the oil tankers could be sunk, detained, commandeered, confiscated or prevented from transiting the Canal, ... which would raise prices at the pump. So the extermination of a few million people obviously, is more important then you or me having to pay an extra nickel or dime at the pump.

Sadaam was a dictator who had dictator flaws. However women did not have to wear the veils or burkhas. Women worked outside the homes and were over 50 percent of university students. The Shia and Sunni were not warring. They lived near each other and even intermarried.

When Bush took out Sadaam, there was a power vacuum. They suddenly had a goal. Each sect thought they could win and rule the country.

This is a Camp the US operates in Djibouti. It's on the other side of the strait. Drones are sent out of here to surveil the Houthis in Yemen. The info is then given to the Saudis.

Suez isn't a problem.. None of the supertankers built since Israel's war closed the Suez for several years will fit in the canal.

kudzu seems to be a spokesperson for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. I watch him (her?) with his answers. He avoids some, answers others the opposite of what is true and then tries to confuse the issue on others. See post #62 by noise. An honest question about which strait we are talking about. Then see post #66, the answer by kudzu. First he points in one direction (Strait of Hormuz) then he points in another direction ( Bab al Mandab strait). Innocuous, if you're not watching for these little tricks of deception and confusion.

kudzu is a spokesperson for the KSA. He seems pretty smooth. I'm OK with these different national operators. i think it gives depth to the Forum.
