Robot roll call Impeachment

Well Frank, none of us are guaranteed to see tomorrow lol.

In your opinion, which is worse, what Trump is accused of; or, what some people *actually did* in deceiving the FISC court in order to surveil, illegally, on a presidential campaign?

First of all, I do not accept the entirety of your predicate...nor the implications of the way you presented it.

Aside from that: If, in fact, some people actually did deceive the FISC in order to surveil, illegally, on a presidential campaign...I think that would be serious.

There is absolutely NO WAY I would consider that anywhere near as serious as Trump attempting to extort Ukrainian President Zelensky.

Not even close.

Just the way I feel, Darth.

And for good measure, what Trump is accused of is, in my opinion, MUCH worse than the charges made against former presidents Nixon and Clinton.

Nice try lefty,

There is no evidence of a crime, and yet here we are, Democrats willing to flush their political future down the toilet because they are simple triggered to madness.

How does it feel to be a puppet

Hello dukkha,

i love the way you personally attack my motives, while you decry the same - how hypocritical of you.

I use song lyrics myself - they are pithy.
But it's not ethical to rip them off without attribution, never mind the legal niceties

Thanks for letting me know how well my words hit the mark.

If we were to both embrace the concept laid down in Taylor's words we would be electing Marianne Williamson and her campaign of love.

One does not enjoy the passage of time by being mean to other people simply because they are unlike us.

I've never been a puppet. Are you feeling wooden? You are a marionette...so you should feel wooden.

Clinton lied about getting a hummer. Nixon tried to rig an election using domestic crooks. Trump tried to rig an election by enticing foreign intervention.

Obviously what Trump did is far worse than Clinton or Nixon combined.

IF that is what you think...and if you think that absolves Trump of the charges he faces...not much I can say.

I read the transcript. It was a beautiful perfect phone call. The charges are trumped up. :dunno:

Ukraine's largest fossil fuel company has purchased a lot of political access.

April 2014, Devon Archer, a former senior adviser to John Kerry
February 2016, Joseph Cofer Black, former director of the Counterterrorism Center for CIA
January 2014 Kwaśniewski, former president of Poland

And of course ... Hunter Biden whose father was Barack's pointman in Ukraine..

The call was far from perfect. Trump is too stupid to do anything perfect except to fuck up.

Has it?

What were you saying there, Dog.

(Gotta go to the ear doctor right now. Be back in an hour or two)

here's a good time for you to start using quote marks, and stop deflecting motive to my posts.

I hate going to the doctor. Hope it goes well, Frank.

I was just listing some of Burisma's board members.

Obama gave Pootie 1/3 of Ukraine and refused them lethal military aid. And you're worried about two investigations being requested. Amb. Sondland made it clear, there was no quid pro quo or extortion. And the AOI reflect that truth as well.

DJT gave Ukraine 210 javelins last year.

Nixon and Clinton were both proven guilty prior to articles being sent to the Senate.

You can claim ‘I refuse to accept Trump’s guilt’ but your simple assertion of guilt is just that...an assertion that’s worth no more than mine. The fact is, democrats are well out over their skis in sending articles of impeachment *without first* establishing Trump’s guilt.

And it’s astounding that you think Trump’s *alleged* victimless crime is worse than what they, actually did, to Carter Page. Is ‘getting Trump’ so important that the FBI should be permitted to run roughshod over people’s rights to not be spied upon?

If so, maybe we should stop and look at things, Frank.

You violated the TOS of JPP by not attributing your quote, Snowflake.

As I have Frankie on IA, please school him on the basis of our entire legal system of INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY.

Hello dukkha,

here's a good time for you to start using quote marks, and stop deflecting motive to my posts.

Oh, so nobody can state they are enjoying the passage of time without adding in the same breath that James Taylor used those same words in a song?

And are you equally stoked about reminding conservatives of this are you are liberals?

Or perhaps that's not something many conservatives are heard talking about...

President Trump is absolutely guilty of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. He is also guilty of emoluments and obstruction of justice. Just because his fanatical supporters do not want to admit the truth doesn't make it any less true. He is also guilty of tax evasion, for that matter.

As is often the case, the rich have fancy lawyers who can get them off from paying their debt to society for the crimes they have committed.

In this case, President Trump is the first in history to use an entire adversarial nation to get him off.

My name is dukkha
I live on the second floor
I live upstairs from you
Yes I think you've seen me before
If you hear something late at night
Some kind of trouble, some kind of fight
Just don't ask me what it was
Just don't ask me what it was
Just don't ask me what it was

eat shit duukha

Well again, you can type a thousand words about Trump being guilty but that doesn’t make it so.

IF Trump is guilty that will be decided in a Senate trial. Or if Democrats do the necessary work—and take the time to establish Trump’s guilt.

‘That Trump might steal another election’ isn’t a satisfactory answer.

I hate going to the doctor. Hope it goes well, Frank.

I don't like going to doctors at all...but today was to the ear doctor which is the worst of any. My right ear does not self-clean like most ears do...and must be cleared by a doctor every two months. The guy pokes around with metal tools and uses suction that causes horrible dizziness.

But I lived through it.

Sondland said there was no quid pro quo...and then gave an example that was text book material.

Trump attempted to extort President Zelensky. He wanted President Zelensky to do something that would help his (Trump's) re-election campaign.

He did not succeed.

The attempt deserves an impeachment...and I am delighted the Houses is going to impeach him.

I wish the Senate would convict him (he certainly deserves it), but I recognize the reality that it is not going to happen.

Pelosi said that she would not proceed unless there was bi-partisan support.

There is none...squat.

Did she lie? Claro que si.She did ...and will lose,in the Senate.

The bolded part is the part with which I agree...totally, Darth. I should have made that clearer without you calling it to my attention. Thanks for saying it the way you did.

The rest, I simply disagree with.

I doubt we will resolve that, but I truly appreciate the tone you and Dog are using in discussing the issue.

Somehow, all of us have got to reconcile our strong feelings on the issue...with being able to discuss it without all of the anger, name-calling and stuff.
