Sailors on USS Lincoln outside Iran are exhausted and suffering from poor morale on ship, families warn

No, women whine about the conditions and snivel about having to do shitty dirty jobs. I saw that repeatedly, first hand. I had to deal with that shit more than once. That sort suck the air out of the room and take up all your time with their constant complaining.

Rape is rare in the Navy and it is taken extremely seriously. As a Chief I had more than one woman whine and snivel about how unfair I was being (eg., she wasn't getting her way). I was the wrong target for that crap. They ran for cover somewhere else when it became obvious I'd ruin their career and not give in. They often get used to having their way when they complain. They think they'll be believed because they discovered in the past they would be whether they were truthful or not.

That's why, and it isn't common for many in leadership to do this, when you get one of these sniveling little bitches in your shop you keep a thorough paper trail on them for use later when they try and fuck you over for not getting their way. That's when they're exposed, become confused because they aren't being believed, and they get their bullshit packed in hard and fast for it.
Sailors are losing 20-30 pounds on a cruise because of lack of food......this is not normal......this is not OK.....you should be ashamed of yourself.

It was on the nightly news Trump said they weren't out long enough it should have been longer.
I am sure all this BS will have an effect on the navies retention rates.
If you are going to treat people like shit they won't be re upping.
And morale has long been a problem......the lack of empathy and responsibility from the top burns it to the ground.

BullShit......I have already documented that this carrier has blown away the all time record for longest run between port calls.....and they will still be on station for at lest two more weeks.

Then there is the matter of the NAVY not properly supplying the ship....which is also likely the worst ever.

The situation is bad enough that the Centcom commander just made a visit to try to calm things down.
When and where did you serve? Be special wannabe,

Bullshit, I too was a Navy sailor and 6 mos deployments were the staple time frames and shame on you for being so gotdamn stupid. And if deployments were longer you stupid shit head, the men got off the fuckin ship. No time in history, save for fuckin REAL WARS, do sailors stay in the middle of the sea for long periods of time without SHORE FUCKIN LEAVE AND YOU KNOW THIS!!
Me stupid? I used to believe your service, Have doubts now though.

That's bullshit too.

First, you walk everywhere you go. That might not sound like much but on a carrier it can be a workout on its own.

Then there's simply working itself. Many jobs are labor intensive.

Add to that if what you do has irregular hours or is hard work you may not want to stand in a chow line to eat.

Food is plentiful if not particularly varied. That repetition can get old and wear on you too.

But, lack of food is bullshit.

Been there, done that, for years no less. You haven't got a clue what you're talking about. And don't shove some anecdotal evidence from some journalist as proof otherwise. Not buying it.

For example, at one point in the IO we had a steak and lobster dinner served. I didn't want to wait an hour in the chow line to get a serving after coming off watch. I was just too tired. So, I gave that a hard pass.

Or, at 90 days we were given 2 warm beers on the hanger bay. They sucked. Many guys didn't take them up on the offer. It just wasn't worth it. And yes, they served those two beers to every crew member if they wanted them because that was in regulations. Serving real butter, not margarine is also a Navy specific requirement. It is in the regulations. The other services can use margarine, but the Navy cannot.

I remember one night at about 0200 getting off a particularly hard repair situation where we had to get a main steam booster pump motor back in and running on the "booster flats" in one of the engine rooms, can't remember which. I headed aft to berthing and got a towel and took a shower in lukewarm water with the head all to myself. That was a memorable shower. Something so mundane and small, but I remember it to this day.

Again, STFU because you don't know what you're talking about here.

Longest between port calls is what I said....what I documented the other day.

And the Ford had major morale problems too....this is becoming the norm as the NAVY abuses the crews....and in the case of the FORD sends them out on a boat that does not function correctly and with short crews.
My longest was 124 days, so you ain't got nothin' there either. Once it passes about 100 it really doesn't make much difference. Today, tomorrow, and yesterday is your week.

Amen. Lots of people who never served like to talk about it.

There's an easy proof, more or less. What was your rate / rank, NEC/MOS/ AFSC, and main (or most significant) duty station?

EMC(SW), 3384, USS Enterprise.

Anyone who served should be able to do that in a nanosecond. They should also be able to do it in a way that tells another veteran they're the real thing.

E9. MSRT USCG.

Fuck you squid. In a good way lol!
When I was in Bahrain, I felt sorry for the Coast Toasties that were stationed there. Navy PO's E-4 to 6 got two to a flat in Manama and were pulling $100 a day in per diem each. The Coasties were 4 to a flat and getting like $30 a day each.

Yea, as a Chief I got my own flat and a car because I was going to all these different bases and locations where the USN had stuff.

Yeah, some were ini it forr the money. Others were there to make sure their crew got home. All of my time overseas was on the boats .
