See ya, Matt

I used due process as meaning standardized procedure. This is willy-nilly hit or miss.
Firing someone is punishment.

All large corporations and most smaller ones as well now have standardized HR rules for employee behavior. I can assure you that NBC's HR department looked at the allegations and verified them before willy-nilly terminating Lauer. They fear lawsuits from harassed employees -- and from wrongfully-terminated ones as well -- and therefore have teams of legal eagles who have written procedures for virtually everything dealing with employees' work behaviors.

Not to make light but it's called the Lawyers Full Employment Act

You know what’s funny about that is the business and corporate community wants tort reform so that they can be the only ones to sue as they do far more to clog up our legal system than anyone.

Sue a company because they sold a dangerous defective product? Heaven forbid but their suing you to protect the intellectual property they stole from you is just fine.

Tort reform benefits consumers I.e. you and me. Massive payouts benefit lawyers.

It's not businesses doing most of the suing.

That doesn't change what you said about supporting guilty until you prove yourself innocent.

Yes and no. Not the consumers who are suing. They share in the pay. Check out some DePuy hip verdicts. Hell check out the BS awards under FDCPA for suing people who just happen to have the same name or be a junior
of a deadbeat dad by mistake. Is that the kind of shit that merits millions? They get it.

Not all for aggressive unwanted sexual ...
But just early this afternoon the news is abuzz w/:

Lauer leaving
Eli Manning being benched.
Garrison Keillor sacked

What I'm wondering:
once McConnell bombs on this "tax reform" (welfare for the $rich) scheme he's striking out with, how much longer will he remain the senate majority leader?
